Shreya and Chirag, Garh Govind, Jodhpur
The highlight of this wedding was the bride who danced to an original number composed just for her groom.
This wedding featured the narration of stories- whether it was a bachelorette tale told in pictures or a song written about their relationship -there’s no better story than a love story.
Held in the beautiful city of Jodhpur, their lavish wedding was full of warmth and grandeur. The festivities were captured in all their glory by WeddingSutra Favorite – VogueShaire.
How the met
Sometimes love needs a second glance. “Our first meeting was at a party thrown by a mutual friend and we didn’t make much of an impression on each other,” the groom says. Months later, when they bumped into each other again, things clicked. However, Chirag admits things wouldn’t have gone far even then, “I had never been great at expressing feelings, and that almost ended things for us. However, it Shreya’s courage in expressing her love that brought everything into focus for me, and I knew I had found the one.”
Wedding Venue
“I always fantasized about a grand Rajputana wedding in Rajasthan, where I would get to embrace my inner Maharani for a day,” the bride beams! “We thought Udaipur was popping up a little too often as a destination wedding choice so we chose the majestic Garh Govind Resort in Jodhpur.”
Wedding Planning
“As an only child, I have been pampered by my family all my life, and they all played a huge part in making my dream wedding a reality. We worked without a planner! We divided the tasks between us so we didn’t miss any details and chose some amazing vendors who worked tirelessly.”
Relying on websites, the bride’s work experience and contacts from the entertainment industry, the family found the perfect vendors. They entrusted the stunning décor to Singhvi Tent House. Their gorgeous celebrations were captured by the team at VogueShaire. And Shreya had her makeup done by celebrity make up artist Rishabh Khanna, who she knew through work.

Bachelorette
The sweet, sentimental send off into marital life by your friends is a quintessential rite of passage. The bride and her squad decided to do a series of fun poses depicting stories for a quirky photoshoot.

With floral décor and a lively vibe this day function was bright and beautiful. The young bride was iridescent with her dewy, minimal makeup and soft cascading curls in a pastel pink embellished lehenga with floral jewelry.

Haldi
The day of the wedding dawned with the Haldi ceremony; an intimate, casual function. The bride made a statement in her yellow crop top worn with white dhoti pants, paired with red floral jewelry.
Wedding
In a crimson lehenga richly embroidered in gold, the bride channelled royalty. Her maharani moment unfolded as she entered, to the roar of firecrackers under a stunning phoolon ki chadar. The groom was worthy of her all in gold, a modern Maharaja. They took their vows in a grand ceremony in the presence of their loved ones.
