Shreya and Saurabh, Bel-La Monde Riverside, Jim Corbett

Glowing in the sunlight by the riverside, this couple’s wedding mandap looked right at home next to the verdant greenery of the jungle.

Framed by the gentle rhythm of the river and the glow of golden light, Shreya and Saurabh’s wedding was a visual symphony of color and culture. Captured beautifully by WeddingSutra Favorite – Mohit Jaura Photography, every frame felt alive with emotion.

How They Met
It wasn’t a grand setup, no dating app or elaborate plan. Just a simple Valentine’s Day dinner between friends that turned into the beginning of everything. They didn’t even exchange numbers that night. But the next day, he sent her a follow request on Instagram. She accepted, and somewhere between a short video she sent from class and long Google Meet calls across cities, love found its rhythm. They watched the same movies miles apart, sent surprise food deliveries, and made the ordinary feel special.

The Proposal
The real decision had been made long before, through conversations, prayers, and perseverance. Three days before their engagement, Saurabh told Shreya to wear something she loved. She had a feeling. On a yacht under a starlit sky, with wind in her hair and the sound of waves around them, he asked, and she said ‘yes’. It was calm, quiet, and perfectly them.

Wedding Planning
Every function had its own pulse, and the riverside setting became their canvas, layered with design and emotion. From the sparkle of the sangeet to the marigold chaos of the haldi, every visual felt alive. But beyond the beauty, it was the feeling that stayed along with the 21 handwritten letters Saurabh gave Shreya, one before each celebration. At the centre of all this was the couple and their reliable photography team at Mohit Jaura Photography. The bride shares, “Mohit Jaura Photography didn’t just document the wedding; they understood it. Every shot landed. The trailer made us cry. They captured emotions we didn’t even realise were visible. Their empathy and attention stayed long after the cameras stopped. “She adds, “Some photographers take pictures. Our team captured a feeling. They showed up early, stayed late, and somehow caught every frame that mattered. Our feedback was received, respected, and reflected. Their photos weren’t just content. They were memories, the kind you frame and keep forever.”

Haldi
The celebrations began with laughter and petals. Marigolds hung low, turmeric flew freely, and an anchor kept the rhythm alive with his infectious charm. Guests danced, smeared haldi, and turned the morning into a riot of sunshine and smiles.

Sangeet
As dusk fell, shimmer took over. The decor glittered under warm lights, setting the mood for an evening of sparkle and song. The couple made a stunning entry through a tunnel of sparklers, and from that moment, the night belonged to music! Friends performed, uncles turned DJs, and Shreya danced without missing a beat.

Maharashtrian Wedding
The mandap stood gracefully by the river under the shade of a banyan tree, exuding a sense of serenity with its soft pastels and serene rituals. Shreya, in her traditional Paithani saree, and Saurabh, in a classic Peshwai dhoti, embodied heritage.

Banarasi Wedding
As twilight deepened, Banaras came alive in the final celebration. Rich reds, silken golds, and candlelit glows transformed the riverside into a regal dreamscape. Shreya’s lehenga glimmered while Saurabh’s sherwani emanated quiet grandeur.

Advice for Couples
Shreya shares, “Start early, focus on what matters, and remember, not everything will go as planned. Take a few moments for just the two of you amidst the chaos. Breathe, feel it all, and enjoy it, because you’ll blink, and it’ll be over.”
