Shria and Pranav, Hari Niwas Palace, Jammu
In a touching homage to the bride’s parents, the couple tied the knot at the same location where her parents did decades ago.
College sweethearts Shria and Pranav tied the knot after seven beautiful years of courtship with a magnificent wedding celebration, every moment of which was immortalized in gorgeous frames by WeddingSutra Favorite – Weddings by Knotty Days.
How they met
Ranji trophy player Pranav and child counselor Shria crossed paths in college as two doe-eyed teenagers and instantly fell in love. From then on there was no looking back as they knew they had met ‘the one’. Their bond stood strong through the test of time, and they never felt the need for a formal proposal as they had been building towards a future together from day one.
Wedding Venue
The bride shares, “Our wedding venue, Hari Niwas Palace, holds a special significance for me. It was where my parents got married and I had always visualized my dream wedding to be there as well.”
Wedding Planning
The couple entrusted the task of capturing their special moments to the team of Weddings by Knotty Days. The planning and decor were completely handled by the couple and their families. The bride was given flawless looks by Makeup by Gautam.
Talking about their experience of shooting with Weddings by Knotty Days, the couple shares, “Team Knotty Days was the first vendor we booked for our wedding without any hesitation because we knew the wedding had to be shot by the talented Nikhil. We did a pre-wedding shoot together as well which was a mix of things like baking and cricket. The wedding was shot beautifully by the team. The best part was we didn’t have to pose during the wedding at all, and because of absolutely no interruptions from the cameramen we really enjoyed our wedding.”
Wedding Functions
Engagement
“We wanted our engagement to be super fun where everyone could let loose and enjoy with us. We kept the decor very subtle and classic. The major highlight of the day was our friends and family performing for us, which we couldn’t resist joining in and having a blast. It was a magical night full of love and fun”, shares the bride.
Mehndi
The vibrant Mehndi sundowner was followed by a rocking cocktail night hosted at the bride’s home. The couple had a band performing for the sundowner and had hired an amazing team of bartenders to whip some unique cocktails. For the quirky, colorful Mehndi celebration, the couple donned breezy ensembles in floral pastels which they switched later to sophisticated cocktail wear for the evening.
Wedding
The spectacular wedding celebrations was a dream come true for the bride as she wed the love of her life in exactly the way she had always imagined. The regal decor sparkled with opulence and was the focal point of the night. The couple conducted the pheras as per the ‘Dogri’ culture.
Reception
The festivities came to a close with a formal Reception. The bride donned a sleek gold ensemble by Sabyasachi Mukherjee while the groom looked dapper in a black outfit by Dhruv Sehgal. The highlight of the evening was the showstopping stage setup, and everyone danced the night away.
Advice for couples
