How They Met
Simran and Kaustabh’s story began as a friendship during the pandemic after she returned from Mumbai. While friends around them were convinced there was something more, the two remained firmly in denial. It wasn’t until Kaustabh finally confessed his feelings that they decided to take the next step, much to the amusement of everyone who had seen it coming.

Over the next four years, they continued building their relationship without knowing where it would eventually lead. As an interfaith couple, they were uncertain about how their families would respond, but choosing to have an honest conversation changed everything. Their families embraced the relationship wholeheartedly, setting the stage for the celebration that followed.

The Proposal
As an event planner by profession, Simran had subtly shared plenty of proposal inspiration over time. Kaustabh paid attention and surprised her during a holiday to Phuket and Koh Samui.

Although they had already celebrated their Roka, he was determined to give her a proposal she would always remember. After what seemed like an ordinary drive, Simran was asked to wait while he made the final arrangements. She was then led to a quiet beach where Kaustabh was waiting against the backdrop of a stunning sunset. The surprise, the setting and the emotion of the moment made it everything she had hoped for. The evening ended with dinner, fireworks and a memory the couple will cherish forever.

Wedding Planning
For Simran, the wedding was a reflection of everything she had envisioned over the years. From her bridal look and the overall aesthetic to the warmth she experienced from her new family, many of the moments she had imagined came together just as she had hoped.

One of the most emotional highlights was a surprise she planned for Kaustabh. Instead of delivering a speech on stage, she recorded a heartfelt three-minute message that spoke about their journey from best friends to life partners, the challenges they had overcome and everything he meant to her. Sangeet
Inspired by the glamour of Bollywood, the Sangeet recreated the excitement of a film premiere. Guests arrived through a red carpet experience complete with paparazzi moments, flashing cameras and celebrity style arrivals, instantly setting the tone for the evening. More than sixty well-known personalities from the entertainment industry joined the celebrations, including Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra, Suniel Shetty, Arbaaz Khan, Javed Akhtar, Ekta Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Dino Morea, Shatrughan Sinha, Jannat Zubair, Vidhya Malwade and Kainaat Arora, among many others.

The couple’s grand entry was one of the biggest highlights of the evening, making them the undisputed stars of the celebration. Packed with performances, music and high-energy entertainment, the night captured the scale and excitement Simran had always imagined for her wedding.

Wedding
The wedding drew inspiration from classic Indian architecture, with an ivory palace-style backdrop featuring arches, jharokhas and soft ambient lighting that created an elegant setting for the ceremony. Floral arrangements in warm, muted tones framed the space, while Simran and Kaustabh complemented the aesthetic in coordinated champagne and gold ensembles. Thoughtfully designed yet rooted in tradition, the wedding reflected the couple’s vision of a celebration that felt grand without losing its warmth.

Advice For Couples
The couple shares, “Take the time to truly understand each other, including the little things and the environments you both come from. It all matters more than you realise. When people tell you to enjoy every moment of your wedding, believe them. Be present through the dance rehearsals, outfit trials, family banter, compliments, celebrations and even the small stressful moments. The days go by far quicker than you expect, and those memories stay with you forever. Most importantly, trust the people you’ve chosen to plan your wedding.
