Simran and Yash, Alila Diwa, Goa
A celebration of a long journey of love with stars and safaris and a joint baraat for the bride and groom.
Simran and Yash’s story has been years in the making—they first met as school mates, ultimately becoming friends and then found themselves falling in love. When they decided to host their wedding at Alila Diwa Goa, they wanted a celebration that moved effortlessly between tradition and their many loves. With each detail carefully orchestrated by WeddingSutra Favorite – F5 Weddings, the festivities featured a baraat shared by the bride and groom, a cosmic night in outer space, a playful safari pool party and a beautiful white wedding.

Wedding Planning
Purvi and Ajay Modgil of F5 Weddings say, “The Simran-Yash wedding was imagined not around a singular theme, but as a series of distinct worlds, each revealing a different facet of the couple: romantic and rooted in tradition one moment, bold and irreverent the next. The décor featured pastel florals, cosmic lights and futuristic fashion and animal prints by the pool. The thread connecting it all was not a design element; it was the couple themselves.”

Wedding Functions
Welcome Lunch
The celebrations began on an intentionally easy note. A vibrant tropical welcome brought friends and family together over lunch, giving guests time to arrive, reconnect and settle naturally into the festivities.

Wedding
Against Alila Diwa’s saturated greens, soft blush, ivory and pastel florals created an almost dreamlike setting. The mandap was thoughtfully built around the venue’s trees, allowing nature to become part of the ceremony itself, while a reflective aisle mirrored the foliage and florals above.
The wedding saw not but, but three entries!
First, Yash arrived with all the exuberance of tradition—music, movement and the joyful chaos of friends and family dancing their way towards the ceremony. Next came, Simran’s bridal walk—bringing with it that unmistakable shift in energy when celebration gives way, however briefly, to emotion. She met Yash for the varmala. And then, they joined each other for a baraat of their own.
Bride and groom danced together as their families and friends followed, carrying the celebration towards the ceremony. Having a joint baraat made it a lot of fun for all the guests.

After Party
Hours after the ceremony, guests stepped into an entirely different universe. Immersive lighting, futuristic production and cosmic visual elements transformed the venue into an intergalactic playground. Guests embraced the fantasy too, arriving in space-themed looks—metallics, sequins and futuristic silhouettes becoming the unofficial uniform of the night.
MJ5 Dance Troupe opened the evening with an electrifying performance before DJ Regge took over, sending the celebration firmly onto the dance floor.

Pool Party
The next afternoon saw a safari-inspired pool party played with animal prints, vibrant color and exaggerated tropical details. Guests arrived in leopard, zebra and statement prints, while international performers dressed in safari-inspired looks and roaming carnival artistes became part of the celebration itself.
Simran and Yash made their entrance to the beat of a live percussionist, instantly lifting the energy around the pool. DJ Omen carried the afternoon forward with music and dancing.

Cocktail Party and White Wedding
A cocktail hour eased guests into a beautiful white wedding, where the design was romantic and all white. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Simran and Yash exchanged personal vows. Heartfelt speeches, laughter and emotions filled the room.
As evening settled in, Best Kept Secret performed live, providing the soundtrack to the final chapter of the festivities.
