Taking the splendor of Indian weddings to another realm, Dubai-based Simran Raghoowanshi and Mumbai-based RishiRaj Tejnani whisked off their loved ones to the pink city for a wondrous celebration. Planned to utter perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – Niche Events, every exquisite detail and larger-than-life moment will leave you spellbound!
Wedding Planning
With 6 functions that spanned 2 whole days Simran and RishiRaj got married in what can only be described as The Big Fat Indian Wedding. From the car pick-up for guests with a pre-recorded message and a curated playlist of the couple’s favorite songs to Polaroid pics at check-in, Rajasthani turbans and dupattas, folk dancers, and royal bugglers, their guests were transported to a realm of Rajasthani royalty from the very beginning.
“We wanted a celebration that reflected our vibrant personalities, and was no less than a Bollywood movie! When we were working out the details, we sat down as a family to understand what everyone wanted before finalizing the themes for every function. The team of Niche Events planned and executed every last detail to our exact specifications, while also adding their own flair and expertise to craft an unforgettable experience.”
The Dubai-based team of Pooja Studio captured their precious moments.
Wedding Functions
Carnival of Love
The festivities were kicked off with all the colors of a Carnival. The couple made a dazzling entry atop a grand gilded float as their guests, after stamping their custom passports that were created to act like an itinerary for the wedding, were welcomed by Rio carnival dancers, Diva Rose costume Girls, Candy Cup girls, jugglers, stilt, walkers, a clown on a ball, unicyclists, and more. Popcorn and candy stalls delighted everyone with delicious treats, while carnival games added even more joy to the occasion.
Winter Wonderland
Hosted in the grand ballroom, the evening was taken over by the whimsy of a winter wonderland! The ethereal decor saw crystals, snowflakes, fog, mystical butterflies, and pristine white furniture, setting an otherworldly ambiance for the night. Dressed in a shimmering tuxedo and a dreamy Cinderella gown respectively, the groom and bride entered with a symphony band with foreign artists and ballerinas with LED wings, before sharing a dance and cutting the cake. The festivities continued into the wee hours of the morning.
Haldi
The next morning began with the fun and frolic of a sunkissed haldi soiree. Lively yellow decor set the stage for the occasion, as the couple was showered with holy turmeric, flowers, and blessings by their loved ones. Melodious shehnai music and DJ beats had everyone in high spirits.
Bohemian Brunch
The evening saw a relaxing yet lively bohemian-themed soiree filled with stunning decor and fun moments. Soft pastels and pampas grass lent a dreamy vibe to the occasion, as the couple and their loved ones enjoyed the musical stylings of an acoustic band, creating fragrance takeaways at a perfume bar, and the energetic Greek plate-breaking ceremony!
Wedding
From a royal procession with elephants, camels, and horses, to the bride’s divine boat entry on a specially created lake, stellar details and larger-than-life moments came together to make their wedding a truly royal affair. The bride and groom both came in with their majestic baraat processions with professional dancers, musicians, royal torch holders, and much more, making for a breathtaking vision for all those who were present.
The couple exchanged garlands in a ceremony accompanied by the glory of a Ganga Aarti and flower shower. A magical puppet show depicting a wedding and traditional ghoomar dancers added to the splendor of the nuptials, as the couple tied the knot with a musical phera ceremony.
