Sonali and Parshva, Mumbai
With the Arabian Sea as the backdrop, this lawyer couple’s intimate beachside wedding was swathed in hues of pink and white.
Lawyers by profession, Sonali Mehta and Parshva Doshi’s wedding by Mumbai’s coast were filled with happy moments where the duo celebrated their love in a close-knit ceremony surrounded by their loved ones. Capturing each moment of their unbridled fun was WeddingSutra Favorite – Movie’ing Moments who with their expertise behind the lens gave them a treasure trove of memories to cherish for a lifetime.
How They Met
Sonali shares, “We both are lawyers by profession and were working in different law firms located in the same building at the time we met. Since we both stay in the suburbs, there were plenty of spots where we crossed paths, from the station to the taxi stand. But neither of us made any contact with each other at that time. But one day, I did notice Parshva in my office building’s lift! Thereafter, we didn’t see each other for months. In the meantime Parshva had decided that if he saw me again, he would gather up the courage and strike up a conversation with me. On the fateful evening of 29th March, we were both leaving our work-places late and he spotted me as I was scouting for a taxi. He approached me and said, ‘Hey, you work at the Free Press House, right? I think you’re really pretty and if you don’t mind, can we go for a coffee sometime?’ I was awestruck as no doubt, it would have taken a lot of courage to do something like that. Right there I decided to give it a shot by going out with him!”
The Proposal
After four years of dating, on their fourth anniversary, Parshva decided to take the pivotal step of popping the question to Sonali. To celebrate their love, the duo hit the road and drove to a picturesque resort near Lonavala where Parshva planned to surprise Sonali. Lit up by candles and accompanied by a bottle of wine, the wedding proposal matched Sonali’s vision perfectly! Also, as an inside joke, Parshva presented her with a plastic lollipop ring that they both shared a laugh over. Fortunately, Parshva had an actual engagement ring on him which he slipped on her finger after going down on one knee.
Wedding Planning
Keeping the pandemic in mind, the couple opted to divide their guests and relatives by functions. On the photography front, they chose to place their trust in the able hands of team Movie’ing Moments who truly inspired awe with their stunning clicks. The happy couple shares, “Having seen the exquisite work executed by Movie’ing Moments for our two best friends’ weddings, we did not even want to consider any other photographer. Our experience with them has been wonderful, they were bubbling with ideas and suggested creative poses for our photos. Had it not been for their wonderful team, our pictures wouldn’t have turned out so incredible considering how awkward we both are in front of the lenses. The team arrived at the venue way before time and were willing to take more and more photographs, even late into the night! They were extremely enthusiastic and we fully credit them for the wonderful memories they have given us. We wanted a lot of beautiful pictures to remember our wedding, and Movie’ing Moments gave us exactly that! They captured the essence of our wedding and gave us memories to remind us of every moment of our big day.”

Surrounded by the salty breeze and punctuated by the calming sounds of crashing waves, Parshva and Sonali’s wedding was a serene yet joyful affair where their unfiltered love seeped through every picture. Tastefully decorated in hues of pink and white, their wedding mandap looked out at the Arabian Sea which provided the duo with a stunning backdrop as they tied the knot. Sonali sported a white lehenga and radiated happiness as she walked down the aisle towards Parshva who looked dapper in a mint blue sherwani.
