Sonali Saxena and Siddhant Gupta, The Riverview Retreat, Jim Corbett

This architect couple fearlessly experimented with colors and themes at their stunning jungle wedding!

Architects and Interior Designers Sonali Saxena and Siddhant Gupta’s wedding was a testament to their love for colors. Planned and designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Unik Experiences, the couple’s vision was precisely orchestrated by the team as they looked into the smallest of details while innovating with an array of hues.

Wedding Planning
Shaivya Agarwal and Aayush Kanojia from Unik Experiences share, “The couple was looking for minimalistic yet detailed decor that had small elements that match their personality and outfits. Both of them are architects and interior designers, and they have an instinct for colours and aesthetics. For us, this meant doing that extra hustle. However, in the end, they were satisfied with the moodboards.

They wanted little details around the property along with the hashtag we included their framed pictures in the mix. This, in turn, became a good photo-op spot for the guests during the two-day wedding celebrations.”

Wedding Functions
Mehendi
Swathed in dark fuschia hues paired with pastel mint, the mehndi theme was ‘Candy Mint Splash’. Hosted under the sunny sky, the color palette looked right in place surrounded by the lush greenery. The decor was dominated by floral setups which included arches and floral ferris wheels adorned with clouds of gypsos. A cart of mehndi giveaways kept the guests entertained while they got their hands patterned with henna.

Sangeet
As a homage to the venue, the couple opted for a ‘Shimmer in The Jungle’ themed sangeet. Accentuated by the star-studded sky, the sangeet fused the best of glamour and boho vibes. While sequins, mini disco balls and LED signage added a dash of glamour, the boho element was infused by macrame hangings that decorated the entrance. White blooms added to the beauty of the event and contrasted beautifully with the dark surroundings.

Haldi
After the glam-boho sangeet, the couple went desi with a traditional all-yellow haldi celebration. A floral entryway with bright yellow blooms welcomed the guests and looked stunning against the blue sky. For the blooms, marigolds were a strong favourite as they were strategically placed all around the venue as garlands, floral rangolis and heaped cane tokris.

Wedding
For their big day, the couple opted for a classic, romantic ‘The Indian Blush Soiree’ theme. Hues of blush pink and cream cut a striking contrast against the sunset sky while white blooms added a touch of freshness to the setup. An artistic installation of Lord Shreenathji with crystals and tuberoses and a thikriwork mandap completed the decor.
