Wedding Planning
For Swati and Rohit, their wedding in Oman was envisioned as a heartfelt tribute to their roots, traditions, and cultural heritage. The couple wanted every event to evoke the warmth of an Indian celebration, complete with immersive rituals, vibrant performances, and thoughtfully curated details that would transport their guests closer to home. Bringing this vision to life, The Desi Pride Oman crafted a seamless celebration that balanced regal aesthetics with cultural authenticity, ensuring every experience felt meaningful and memorable.

“Swati and Rohit were deeply connected to their Indian roots and wanted every guest to feel that connection throughout the celebrations,” shares Abhimanyu Kukreja from The Desi Pride Oman. “Our focus was on creating experiences that felt authentic, meaningful, and emotionally resonant while complementing the luxury of the venue.”

“For Swati and Rohit, it was important that every guest felt connected to India, regardless of where they had travelled from,” shares Astha Garg of The Desi Pride Oman. “We focused on creating moments that felt familiar and emotionally resonant, from the cultural rituals to the finer décor details, while ensuring the experience remained elevated and seamless throughout.”

To create an experience that resonated emotionally with guests, the couple incorporated several traditional touches throughout the celebrations. Indian brass bells were distributed among guests as Swati and Rohit made their entrances. The collective sound of ringing bells filled the venue with a sense of devotion and nostalgia. The atmosphere evoked the spiritual energy of Varanasi, creating a deeply moving moment that left a lasting impression on everyone present. “The sound of the brass bells became one of the most emotional elements of the celebration,” adds Astha. “It instantly transported guests to the spiritual atmosphere of India and created a collective moment that everyone could participate in and remember.”

Reflecting on the celebrations, Abhimanyu Kukreja and Astha Garg share, “This wedding was a beautiful celebration of identity, heritage, and togetherness. Every detail was designed to honour the couple’s roots while creating memorable experiences for their families and friends. Seeing guests connect so deeply with those moments made the entire journey incredibly rewarding.”

Wedding Functions
Mehendi and Sangeet
Hosted within the intimacy of their private villas, the Mehendi and Sangeet celebrations unfolded in an atmosphere of warmth, laughter, and vibrant energy. Rohit’s vision embraced a lively traditional Indian aesthetic filled with colourful accents, festive décor details, and cheerful cultural elements, while Swati gravitated towards a refined palette of orange and purple. Bright blooms, colourful drapes, and thoughtfully layered décor brought the spaces to life, creating a setting that felt celebratory yet intimate. The result was a beautifully balanced celebration that reflected both their personalities while staying true to the spirit of Indian traditions.

Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony unfolded against a dramatic backdrop of mountains meeting the sea. The décor embraced a timeless palette of ivory and red, creating a setting that felt regal yet deeply rooted in Indian tradition. Grand elephant installations welcomed guests at the entrance, establishing a majestic first impression. At the heart of the venue stood a beautifully crafted mandap adorned with intricate lotus detailing and suspended Lord Ganpati elements that lent a sense of grace and spirituality to the ceremony.

Adding a unique cultural layer to the celebrations was Rohit’s baraat, which featured an energetic combination of traditional Indian dholwalas and an Omani band. The fusion created a vibrant spectacle that beautifully celebrated both Indian traditions and the cultural landscape of Oman.
