How They Met
Tanya shares, “Siddhant and I go long back! We met almost 15 years ago at an adventure camp in Manali when I was in 7th grade and he was in 8th. Little did we know that not only would we start dating immediately after, but also spend the remainder of our school, respective college, early professional careers and MBA journeys together.”

The Proposal
Tanya recollects, “Our proposal story spans three continents and includes a robbery and a customs fiasco! To elaborate, Siddhant took a custom-made ring from India to propose to me in Portugal. Unfortunately, that ring got stolen before he could do so! However, he didn’t lose hope – he got the same ring re-made and shipped to The Netherlands, where we were based in the summer of 2021. To his disbelief, that one got stuck at Dutch customs and had to be routed back to India. So, downtrodden, yet not done, this time six months later – on my birthday, Sid bought a simple ring, didn’t tell a soul about his plans, and went down on one knee, in a beautiful, private setting under the moonlight in Singapore.”

Wedding Planning
Leading their wedding planning was Innocept Studio who impressed the couple with their planning chops. The couple goes on to share, “Innocept Studio was very at-cause, responsive, and understanding through the process. They quickly understood what we wanted and tailored their working style and suggestions accordingly. We were also very demanding as clients so we totally acknowledge their patience and hard work through the process. Highly recommend working with them to plan and execute your dream wedding flawlessly!”

The couple was also insistent on keeping each event a distinct one, as they share, “Our only request was that while we kept the customs and traditions in mind, we wanted each function to be different, classy and more importantly represent our bond plus Siddhant and I as individuals. We also had 50+ international guests so ensuring that they felt welcomed and experienced the best of Indian hospitality at all times was super important for us.”

Weddings Functions
Mehndi
Hosted under the sunset sky, the mehndi was a vibrant affair with tropical decor elements. From colourful parrots to vivid table centerpieces, the decor was a fun rendition of the tropics. Customized coconuts keep the March heat at bay as everyone got henna patterned on their palms.

Youngster’s Party
Considering the age group of the guests attending this particular event, the theme was ‘bedazzled boho’. The celebration started with a fun brunch and ended with a night brimming with energetic moments on the dancefloor.

Cocktail
The cocktail which also doubled up as the sagan event was high on glamour and elegance. Lit up by LED lights, vintage bulbs and crystals reflected the lights. Adding a dash of colour were pastel blooms that were interspersed with pampas grass.

Haldi
Decorated with marigold blooms in yellow and orange hues, the haldi was a cheery affair where everyone had a gala time as they smeared the bride and groom with turmeric.

Wedding
Tanya shares, “Our garden wedding was a dreamy one. It was hosted under the stars amidst a cool March breeze. We were keen on making the decor complement the vibe of each venue and the wedding did just that with its regal yet laid-back set-up where the guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

Advice For Couples
The couple shares, “Be centered and mindful through the process – that is key! It’s an extremely chaotic journey and the run-up is hard with everyone giving you suggestions on every little thing – but don’t get frazzled. Enjoy the process and more importantly, savour all your events to the fullest. On the day, at the time, just let go and embrace it all because it flies by way faster than you’d ever imagined!”
