How They Met
In the midst of one of the most difficult times of our generation, Trividha and Ansh’s love was ignited with the encouragement of their mothers. WhatsApp conversations, coffee deliveries and a few telephone calls later, they met for a drive that ended up lasting for 10 hours! By the end of the night, they knew they had found their one.
The Proposal
With a beautiful private dinner on January 1st of 2021 at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai Ansh sought to start the new year with the promise of spending their lives together. With an elaborately planned proposal in mind, he whisked Trividha away for private dining at Casablanca with the view of the setting sun, the Gateway of India and the beautiful Arabian Sea. A walkway of flowers, custom fine dining menu and even a private room full of pictures and red roses, all added up to making the evening unforgettable. Just as their 7-course meal was coming to an end, in came the dessert with the ring and the magic question that changed their lives forever.
Wedding Planning
The couple chose the talented duo of Sam & Ekta to immortalize their moments. They share, “Sam & Ekta topped our list since the day we got engaged. We had seen their work and spoken to them and we knew there was no one else we would want to capture our wedding for us. They were exactly the kind of photographers we were looking for – kind, humble and sensitive to every emotion we felt. They felt like family and were a dream to work with. They captured the most beautiful moments and gave us the best memories for life!”
The couple imagined stunning themed decor for each of their functions, which were beautifully executed by the team of Planbox Weddings and Events. They also worked with a team of other talented vendors who came together to make their celebration one for the ages. An enviable range of elite performers such as Digital Chants and others added splendor to the festivities, while celebrity artist DJ AJ took the festivities to the next level.

Wedding Functions
Welcome Lunch
The celebrations kicked off with a welcome lunch and the bride’s Mehndi ceremony. Premeditated with soft pastel decor, the laidback soiree had a relaxed vibe for guests to unwind, mingle and get ready for the upcoming revelries. Soft-hued flowers and pampas grass set a chic tone for the occasion, while avant-garde crochet creations, teepees and more, added a bohemian flare to the decor. The bridal seating however stole the show with a plush sofa arrangement of flowers and pampas grass set against a magical backdrop of the mountains beyond. The bride looked radiant in a quirky pink short lehenga, which the groom matched with a pink shirt and a chic beige brunch blazer.
Black Tie Dinner
The evening was enveloped in decadence with a stylish black tie dinner brimming with exuberant revelries. A mix of chandeliers and luxurious paraphernalia combined with tropical palms and other foliage for an enchanted forest feel for the evening. The bride matched the mood with a statement silver gown, while the groom embraced high-fashion with a plush purple suit. The couple and their loved ones danced the night away with great joy.
Mehndi
Imagined with vibrant decor and high-octane entertainment, the Mehndi function was a Fun’jabi affair full of memorable moments. A colorful canopy of streamers, drapes and other quirky props set the mood for a morning of music and dance as everyone let loose and enjoyed. The bride and groom opted for perfectly complementary outfits straight off the color wheel, with an orange lehenga and a light blue jacket-kurta set.
Sangeet
The Sangeet was a glitzy affair with non-stop revelries. The bride shimmered in a striking periwinkle lehenga which the groom duly complemented with an indigo blue embellished jacket-kurta set. The couple and their loved ones set the stage on fire with their dazzling performances as they danced to their heart’s content.
Haldi
The final day of celebrations began with a lively outdoor Haldi function. The minimal yet stunning decor of marigolds looked divine against the mountain backdrop as the couple were doused in turmeric and showered with flowers and blessings by their families amidst great cheer.
Wedding
The Wedding ceremony sported quintessential red and gold decor with a modern twist, set amidst the surrounding beauty of mountains. A striking mandap of red flowers, elegant gold and white elements, floral canopies set a magical atmosphere for the nuptials. Dressed in traditional hues of white and red, the couple looked ethereal as they exchanged varmalas under a tree bedecked with fairy lights and chandeliers, before tying the knot within the grand red mandap.
After Party
The festivities ended on a high note with a groovy Hip Hop After Party that had fun neon decor and rocking music. The couple wore customized Pati and Patni jackets with matching customized shoes that respectively said, “He’s mine” and “I’m hers”.
Advice for couples
“To all the future Brides and Grooms, we have only one thing to say – Enjoy every minute of it. We spent a year planning our wedding and it simply flew by in the most beautiful 3 days. Savor every minute of the planning. You’ll definitely have some friction, but at the end of it all, you’ll get everything you ever dreamed of. So try not to stress, get enough sleep and remember to love each other through every minute of the madness.”
