How they met
Udita shares, “We were already working together at the same law firm for a year before anything started between us. We clicked at an impromptu party and then there was no going back! After a week of spending time together Abhilash planned a dinner and asked me out in the most old-school way, and that’s when we started dating. Pretty soon we knew we had found the one, and after 2 months of dating we flew to Udaipur where, at the rooftop of Taj Lake Palace, Abhilash proposed in the dreamiest fashion, and we found our everything and beyond.”
Wedding planning
“We both were aligned that our wedding should be a fun event, to be celebrated with loved ones with wedding rituals that seamlessly flow into the festivities. Moreover, I had always wanted a forest wedding! Taj Corbett Resort & Spa had everything we wanted – forest surroundings, mountains, a river, and the renowned Taj hospitality.”
The couple chose the team of K Events by Naveen Chaushali to breathe life into their vision. They share, “We dedicated almost 7 months to planning the food menu, outfits, decor, etc. We are grateful to the entire team of K Events for executing our vision and managing everything so smoothly despite the rains. Naveen even accompanied us for all the destination scouting. He catered to all our requests with a smile and made sure everything was on point.”

Wedding functions
Mehndi
The couple started the festivities with a cozy Mehndi soiree with those closest to them. The delicate decor of flowers, foliage, and candles saw soft hues for a warm, intimate ambiance, and the evening progressed with live music, dancing, and tons of laughter. The bride and groom looked effortlessly regal in matching violet ensembles.
Haldi
The next morning dawned with a lively Haldi ceremony that was held indoors. Fresh floral decor lit up the space in vibrant hues, with pops of marigolds adding a touch of tradition. Dressed in yellow and red, the couple looked radiant as they sat surrounded by a semicircle of sunflowers and wildflowers, waiting for their loved ones to anoint them with turmeric.
Sangeet
Imagined with dreamy white decor, the Sangeet night was planned around dance, music, cocktails, and unlimited enjoyment. The couple matched the vibe in stunning white mirror-work outfits by Abhinav Mishra. The night started with dance performances, after which everyone took to the dance floor and partied to their heart’s content.
DJ Marsh kept the party going and the energy up with a rocking after-party. The couple delighted everyone with a change of outfit, donning matching satin suits with a patchwork of Pokemon and Powerpuff Girls.
Wedding
Udita shares, “There was rain, there was hail, but with the help of our loved ones and a team of great planners, everything unfolded perfectly, and it seemed as if the gods were blessing us on our big day!”. The wedding décor saw plush red drapes and furnishings, with gold accents and stunning flowers. The bride wore a traditional red bridal lehenga, but in her style, opting out of heavy accessories and leaving her tresses open for a more youthful, lighter look. The couple exchanged their vows in the presence of their friends and family and celebrated with some Sufi Music for a magical and memorable experience.
Reception
The celebrations came to a conclusion with a simple and elegant Reception at The Imperial New Delhi for their extended family and other guests. Warm neon lights, chandeliers, and flowers set a sophisticated tone for the occasion, while the musical stylings of Bollyjazz kept spirits high as everyone congratulated the newlyweds.
