Vainul and Arjun, Udaipur

For Vainul and Arjun, a shy first meeting led to a life-changing second date in which both of them realized their love for each other. Set up by their parents, this duo transformed an arranged marriage into a love marriage with their whirlwind romance. As they got hitched in a series of magnificent ceremonies in the lap of luxury, WeddingSutra Favorite – Amit Sood Photography ensured that each shot captured the joy and splendor of their union.

How They Met
Vainul recalls, “It was more of a love at second sight situation since at the first meeting that was set up by his parents, we were at his place and were too shy to even talk to each other properly! But the next day, our parents set us up with another meeting and that’s when we developed strong feelings for each other.”

The Proposal
Once the couple realized the feelings they had for each other, there was no looking back. Vainul shares, “For me his heartfelt confession about his feelings for me was his proposal. At that moment as he stared into my eyes, the world around me just froze. However, Arjun did go the extra mile and proposed to me on a boat in the middle of Sukhna Lake. On a humorous note, I’ve got aquaphobia and when he popped the question, I was more focused on not drowning!”

Wedding Venue
When it came to selecting the venue, the couple found their dream location in Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort and Spa, a property that not only celebrates rich Rajasthani architecture but also boasts of scenic views from its spacious rooftop. The bride tells us, “This property had everything we were looking for. It covered every aspect of our vision for the wedding with its stunning rooftop globe and surreal lawns that allow your creativity to run free.”

Wedding Planning
Helping the couple in the colossal task of organizing and executing this elaborate three-day wedding, was an efficient team that helped them in every possible way. On the photography front, Amit Sood Photography awed the couple and their families with his candid clicks that encapsulated the essence of their wedding. On her experience with the photography team, the bride happily says, “Amit Sood and his team felt more like family rather than our vendors. The team respected our privacy and made us feel extremely comfortable. They shot the most breathtaking candid pictures without overwhelming us by the presence of cameras. As for the wedding trailer, I’m absolutely thrilled with the way it’s turned out. Everything has been curated so carefully, the emotions, the laughter, and even the songs!” Making sure the wedding went ahead without a glitch were Pearl The Organizers who helped the couple make the right decisions. Bringing their vision to life was Floral Theoriez who meticulously crafted the decor and looked into the smallest of details. Invitation designer Rahul Mittal created an irresistible masterpiece that set the stage for the enchanting nuptials. Makeup artist Prerna Khullar ensured the bride put her best foot forward at every function with her sensational skills.

Weddings Functions

Engagement Ceremony
Following the theme of ‘gowns and tuxedos’, the engagement ceremony was a glittering affair under the open night sky and had the softly lit palatial architecture serving as a backdrop. The venue’s beauty was capitalized to the fullest with its unique floral fountain serving as a stage for the couple. Surrounded by their loved ones who were bathed in the glow of delicate pink and yellow lights, Vainul and Arjun slipped rings on each other’s fingers and sealed the deal.

Keeping the theme in mind, the bride chose an extravagant off-shoulder gown and a side-swept hairdo. Arjun followed her lead and stayed true to the theme with his classic tuxedo.

Pool Party
Describing their wedding as a fun-filled three-day festival, Vainul and Arjun included a boisterous pool party in their list of functions to set the guests at ease. Basking under the sun in their pretty pastels, the duo and their guests had plenty of fun by the aquamarine pool with drinks in hand.

Mehndi
The Mehndi followed the theme of ‘jewel colors’ which pleasantly contrasted with the dark starry sky. Everyone present there, followed the theme accurately, donning attires in rich hues of blue, red and green, and danced to their heart’s content. The showstopper of the evening was Vainul who glowed in a heavily embroidered lehenga that she accessorized with bold earrings. The groom went light and chose a bandhgala with delicate embroidered details.

Haldi
Borrowing from tradition, the Haldi had the ‘marigold’ theme and was replete with bright yellow blooms that were generously scattered throughout the venue. Pristine white mogra garlands joined the marigolds and contrasted with the all-yellow decor of the occasion. Looking bright and happy in her yellow ensemble and floral jewelry was Vainul who couldn’t stop smiling as she was smeared with turmeric by her loved ones. The groom complemented his bride in a bright yellow kurta and was playfully smeared by his friends and family.

Wedding
With the bride making her entrance in an ornate doli, Vainul and Arjun’s wedding had a ‘royal’ theme and followed all the Punjabi traditions. High on happiness the guests freely danced the bhangra to the beats of the dhol as they entered the venue. A magnificent floral mandap under the opulent rooftop dome witnessed the duo take their phere, where they made promises for life.

Reflecting the ‘royal’ theme and the floral decor, Vainul opted for a heavy dusty rose Sabyasachi lehenga that had pops of maroon, pink and green in its embroidery. The groom looked every bit royal wearing a rich velvet green sherwani with gold embroidery.
