Vaishnavi and Yashwanth, Alila Diwa Goa
A quirky mehndi, a glamorous sangeet and a nostalgic retro night - this destination wedding brimmed with colors at every turn.
Replete with grandeur and tradition, Vaishnavi and Yashwanth’s three-day wedding festivities exuded warmth and paved the way for adorable candid moments. Designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Purple Tree Event Solutions, this wedding was a vibrant celebration.
Wedding Planning
Vaishnavi shares, “We’ve always dreamed of a destination wedding and with our long guests list of 300 individuals, it had to be something special. The program consisted of seven events that spanned three days. We had a big task selecting decor for each event, options were too many but I made sure everything was finalized.
On the design front, Purple Tree Event Solutions ensured nothing was missed. The bride shares, “Our wedding decor was done by Purple Tree Event Solutions and they did an amazing job in each and every aspect. Everything was exactly as they’d shown us! They also planned my entries for all the events and they turned out well, I would gladly refer them to our friends and family!”
Wedding Functions
Engagement
Kicking off the festivities were two engagement celebrations. On the first day, the couple completed the pre-wedding rituals while on the second day, the celebrations experienced a level-up in grandeur. With floral installations, crystal chandeliers and vintage candelabras – the event was an extravagant one.
Mehendi
Experimenting with pink and blue hues, the mehndi exuded a quirky vibe that carried a dash of desi vibrance. Colorful dream catchers, larger-than-life games and plenty of dancing made the poolside mehndi celebration a hit!
Pool party
After the colorful mehndi, the guests let their hair down at the pool party where they splashed in the water, had fun with the quirky props and danced their hearts out. Decorating the entrance were two life-sized flamingos and large tropical monstera leaves painted pink.
Retro Night
Amping up the glamour quotient was the cocktail dinner. Adorned with crystals that reflected the light across the indoor venue and monochromatic floors – the design story was an elegant one. The dress code followed by the guests was also monochrome which made the entire event look seamless and picture-perfect.
Sangeet
With a green and gold color palette, the sangeet was high on glitz. While the walls were a deep bottle green hue, the gold LED light contrasted beautifully. Adding to the beauty were delicate floral setups, sequins and crystal chandeliers.
Haldi
Swathed in hues of yellow and hosted under the sunny sky, the haldi brimmed with marigold blooms, rustic cane baskets and larger-than-life butterflies for a whimsical touch. Seated in a brass urlis, the couple were playfully slathered with turmeric to get them glowing for the wedding!
Wedding
For the big day, nothing was left to chance! A huge white and red-hued floral wedding mandap dominated the wedding setup while the entryway reflected the same colour palette. Flanked by a red and gold backdrop, the couple and their families performed all the pre-wedding rituals. Right before the wedding, the couple also hosted a varmala ceremony outdoors decked up with purple blooms, a chrome aisle and a gold peacock.
Advice For Couples
The bride shares, “Nothing goes according to plans! You have to just trust the process, savor the moment and be happy!”
