Wedding Planning
Deepika Shetty from Best Day Ever by Deepika Shetty shares, “Right from the very beginning, the couple gave us complete freedom when it came to the wedding planning responsibilities. They were receptive to our suggestions and trusted us completely to help them make the best choices. To summarize, they wanted a very balanced wedding with nothing too extravagant. Even though they were not based in India, the planning experience was a smooth one. After multiple brainstorming sessions, a week before the wedding, everything was set. Although there weren’t any set themes that we followed, we did use a variety of hues to be in sync with the venue. And, adhering to the couple’s aesthetic sense, each event exuded elegance and minimalism.”
Wedding Functions
Haldi
Kicking off the celebrations was a simple yet vibrant haldi ceremony. Hosted in an amphitheater setting, the haldi consisted of a minimalistic marigold backdrop placed strategically behind the couple. Seated in brass urlis, the couple had a fun time under the bright sun as their loved ones applied haldi mixture to them. Gilded furnishings draped in sunny yellow fabric and contrasting purple pillows completed the look.
Sangeet
After the sunkissed haldi, it was time to give the glamour levels a leg up with a stunning sangeet. A monochrome patterned dancefloor, numerous chandeliers, a multicolored backdrop and a canopy of vintage bulbs created the perfect atmosphere for a night of spirited dance performances where the couple made an entry with a burst of colour bombs!
Wedding
Bedecked with white blooms, and foliage that was interspersed with multicolored roses – the wedding mandap looked dreamy and carried a touch of grandeur. The bride made a stunning entry under a phoolon ki chaadar and after the Iyer-style wedding, the couple were seated on an oonjal swing that matched the mandap’s decor.
Reception
The following evening, the couple geared up for a minimalistic reception that was lit by fairy lights and equipped with a dancefloor. As the couple performed their first dance, they were cheered on by their loved ones who were seated on the dainty chairs surrounding the dancefloor. LED signage and white blooms added to the beauty of the event.
