Vedika Bhandari and Darshil Rambhia, Taj Lands End, Mumbai
Honoring traditions while showcasing their love for modern design elements, this couple’s wedding in Mumbai was lively yet elegant!
Vedika Bhandari and Darshil Rambhia’s wedding came together as a seamless blend of cultures and celebration, thoughtfully planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Tailormade Experiences and hosted at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The couple infused the festivities with Vedika’s Punjabi flair for colour and exuberance, beautifully balanced by Darshil’s warm Kutchi heritage. The result was a series of celebrations that felt joyous, contemporary, and gracefully rooted in tradition.

Wedding Venue
Taj Lands End, Mumbai, offered both scale and sophistication for Vedika and Darshil’s wedding. Its expansive event spaces allowed each function to carry a distinct mood while flowing effortlessly from one celebration to the next. Adding to its appeal were the hotel’s spectacular views of the Arabian Sea, with sweeping vistas that stretch across the Mumbai coastline and towards the Gateway of India, lending the festivities a sense of grandeur and timeless charm.

Wedding Planning
The planning approach focused on crafting immersive atmospheres that encouraged celebration and connection. “Vedika wanted her wedding to feel lively and full of movement, but never chaotic,” shares Shashank Gupta. “We translated that into decor and experiences that felt energetic yet composed.” The Sangeet was styled with a modern, speakeasy-inspired aesthetic, featuring moody lighting, rich textures, layered drapes, and warm metallic accents. Bar and performance zones anchored the space visually, while plush lounge seating and ambient lighting ensured comfort alongside glamour. In contrast, the Haldi embraced a bright, traditional setup. A vibrant marigold floral backdrop took centre stage, paired with white seating and yellow accents arranged symmetrically. “The idea was to keep it festive and culturally expressive, while still clean and elegant,” adds Zashank Bhatia.

Wedding Functions
Sangeet
The Sangeet hosted at The Ballroom unfolded as a high-energy evening with a contemporary party vibe. Experiential elements like the playful ‘Ring the Bell’ champagne moment and an Audio Booth, where guests left personalised messages, added interactive layers and meaningful keepsakes to the night.

Haldi
Bright, traditional, and immersive, the Haldi hosted at Garden View centred on guest participation. Activity stations for block printing and tumbler engraving were paired with live counters serving sugarcane juice, cotton candy, and popcorn. Scented candles and traditional bangles were given as thoughtful giveaways, adding a personal touch.

Wedding
The Baraat was lively and celebratory, with customised T-shirts for the groomsmen adding a coordinated, fun visual element. The wedding décor shifted into a soft, romantic palette of blush pinks, ivory, and subtle greens. The Vidhi Mandap within The Ballroom featured a lush pink floral backdrop with cascading overhead florals, framed by arches and warm ambient lighting.
