Vidhi Chickar and Vanshaj Sundeep Puri’s wedding unfolded as a thoughtfully curated celebration that blended personality, emotion and immersive design across three vibrant days. With meticulous planning by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Vow Weavers, striking conceptual design and décor by WeddingSutra Favorite – National Decorators, and evocative photography by WeddingSutra Favorite – Raabta Studios, every moment was shaped with artistry and precision.
Wedding Planning
Vidhi and Vanshaj envisioned their wedding with remarkable clarity, ensuring that each celebration reflected a different aspect of who they are both individually and as a couple. The festivities began on an auspicious note with a Sundar Kanth Paath at Vanshaj’s home, graciously hosted by his mother. A day before the wedding, an intimate ‘Ghar Ki Mehendi’ brought Punjabi influences to the forefront through the décor, food and artist curation, with traditional folk singers setting the tone for a heartfelt gathering. From there, the celebrations unfolded as a carefully layered experience. The enchanted garden-inspired Haldi and Mehendi, the cosmic Sangeet, the spiritually immersive Vedic wedding and the regal lounge-style reception each carried a distinct identity while remaining connected to the couple’s vision.
Reflecting on their experience, Vidhi and Vanshaj share, “We wanted our wedding to be nothing short of unforgettable. Three days filled with celebration, energy, laughter and a little bit of madness. The Vow Weavers truly brought that vision to life. From flawless planning to seamless execution, every detail was handled with such creativity and care. The food was exceptional, the energy electric and the atmosphere filled with happiness.” Sharing insights into the planning journey, Neelam Madnani and Nitisha Malhotra from The Vow Weavers note, “Vidhi and Vanshaj wanted every event to feel experiential. Working closely with WeddingSutra Favorite – National Decorators, the team translated these concepts into immersive environments while Raabta Studios documented each moment with warmth and detail. The celebrations were further elevated by WeddingSutra Favorite – Ankit Bathla, who kept the energy flowing effortlessly, while WeddingSutra Favorite – DJ AJ ensured the dance floor remained lively throughout the festivities.
Wedding Functions
Haldi and Mehendi
For the Haldi and Mehendi, the couple embraced an enchanted garden theme that transformed the venue into a whimsical outdoor dreamscape. Oversized blooms, delicate butterflies and soft pastel hues set the tone, while playful bunnies and lush floral installations added a charming sense of fantasy to the setting. The décor felt light, romantic and joyful, reflecting Vidhi’s personality beautifully.
Sangeet
Vanshaj’s fascination with outer space inspired a celestial theme for the Sangeet, turning the evening into a cosmic celebration. The décor drew from the colours and textures of the Milky Way with deep midnight blues, rich purples and shimmering metallic accents that created a striking visual palette. Constellation-inspired lighting and glowing elements brought the theme to life, giving guests the feeling of dancing beneath a star-filled sky. With energetic performances and music filling the air, the night unfolded like a celebration written in the stars.
Wedding
The wedding ceremony embraced a Vedic Banaras-inspired theme that reflected the couple’s desire for a spiritually rich and culturally rooted celebration. Warm shades of saffron, yellow, deep red and orange created an atmosphere reminiscent of the sacred ghats of Banaras. The wedding mandap was adorned with marigold and mogra garlands, brass elements and temple-style bells, while scrolls inscribed with Vedic mantras added a traditional touch. Diyas floating gently in water created a soft glow, completing a setting that felt deeply connected to heritage and ritual.
Reception
For the reception, Vidhi and Vanshaj envisioned a royal lounge-inspired setting that felt intimate yet refined. Emerald green and gold accents defined the décor, complemented by statement lamps, plush seating and warm ambient lighting that created an inviting atmosphere. A seven-piece live band added to the mood of relaxed sophistication as guests gathered to celebrate the newlyweds. The lounge-style setting encouraged conversation, music and effortless celebration, bringing the three days of festivities to a graceful and memorable close.
