Vishesh and Kavisha Anand, Trident, Udaipur
Rooted in tradition yet guided by their own vision, this couple’s wedding was a close-knit and vibrant celebration.
Planned with thoughtful precision by WeddingSutra Favorite – Phoenix Event Media Group, Vishesh and Kavisha Anand’s destination wedding struck the perfect balance between heartfelt traditions and contemporary celebrations. Every event reflected the couple’s personality, with the planning team seamlessly translating their vision into immersive experiences, elegant décor and effortless execution. From vibrant daytime festivities to unforgettable evenings filled with music, each celebration unfolded with warmth, style and an unmistakable sense of togetherness.

How They Met
Although both Vishesh and Kavisha studied at Daly College in Indore, fate never brought them together during their school years. After graduation, life took them to different corners of the world, with Vishesh pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Chicago while Kavisha moved to Melbourne.
It was only after both returned to Indore following the pandemic that they reconnected during their school’s alumni elections. A casual conversation soon revealed shared experiences of returning home after living abroad, along with remarkably similar perspectives on life, family and the future. Friendship gradually blossomed into love, and they discovered they had found exactly what they never expected.

The Proposal
The proposal was every bit as unexpected as it was unforgettable. While travelling through Vietnam, Kavisha had a single evening to herself in Da Nang before meeting friends for the next leg of her journey. Vishesh, who was in Mumbai, suggested she visit The Craftsman, a cocktail bar he had reserved for her.
As she settled in, the DJ unexpectedly played a Peter Cat Recording Co. song that held special meaning for the couple. Delighted, she reached for her phone to message Vishesh, only to look up and find him standing in front of her with a bouquet and a ring. What followed was a perfectly orchestrated surprise that became one of their most cherished memories.

Working with Phoenix Event Media Group was truly exceptional. Their creativity, attention to detail and flawless execution brought every celebration to life exactly as we had imagined. More importantly, they made the entire planning journey completely stress-free, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy every moment of our wedding with our family and friends.”

Wedding Functions
Haldi
The celebrations began with a vibrant Phoolon Ki Haldi that perfectly set the tone for the festivities ahead. Filled with fresh flowers, lively games, spirited dancing and traditional Rajasthani folk performances, the celebration was a joyful riot of colour, laughter and togetherness that brought both families together from the very first event.

Varmala
The Baraat became one of the most meaningful moments of the wedding. Determined to do away with the traditional distinction between the bride’s and groom’s sides, Kavisha danced with her family before seamlessly joining Vishesh’s procession, creating one united celebration. The evening culminated in a dreamy Varmala ceremony, where the couple exchanged garlands surrounded by the love and cheers of their family and friends.

Anand Karaj
The following morning, the couple exchanged vows during an intimate Anand Karaj ceremony at the Gurudwara. Rooted in tradition and simplicity, the ceremony was followed by a relaxed ‘Welcome Mr. & Mrs. Anand’ celebration at Trident, where guests came together to continue the festivities in a warm and intimate setting.

Sangeet
The celebrations concluded with a spectacular Sangeet, where heartfelt performances by family and friends made the evening especially memorable. The festivities reached a high point with an electrifying live performance by Avinash Gupta, bringing everyone together on the dance floor for a fitting finale to the wedding celebrations.

Advice For Couples
The newlyweds share, “Our biggest priority was making sure the wedding felt like us. We kept rituals to a minimum during the destination wedding while completing the longer, intimate ceremonies back home with our immediate families. This allowed us to preserve tradition while ensuring our guests could simply celebrate alongside us.
Comfort was non-negotiable. We chose outfits that allowed us to move, dance and enjoy every moment. Instead of imposing a strict dress code, we encouraged our guests to wear whatever made them feel their most confident and beautiful.
Music became the heartbeat of our wedding. We wanted dancing to flow through every celebration, and watching both families come together through music remains one of our favourite memories.
Our advice to every couple is simple: don’t plan the wedding you think you’re supposed to have. Plan the one that feels most authentic to you. Those are the celebrations everyone remembers.”
