Vyoma Popat and Neel Doshi, The St. Regis Mumbai
This couple’s sangeet celebration was the epitome of subtle glam with its geometric designs, pampas grass and turquoise blooms!
Vyoma Popat, an architect and Neel Doshi’s wedding in Mumbai merged intricate details, traditional designs and classic concepts. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Dark Horse Events, the celebrations were packed with color, energy and refined designs.
Wedding Planning
With bride Vyoma being an architect with discerning taste, the planning team was on their toes as they followed the couple’s brief with utmost clarity. Team Dark Horse Events shares, “The couple shared similar tastes and selected themes that were elegant, fresh and subtle. Consequently, we avoided anything extravagant and focused keenly on aesthetics in a refined manner. Emphasis on meaningful, personalized details ensured every aspect has a reason and purpose. In the end, it was a balance of Vyoma’s love for artistic vibrance and Neel’s affinity for structured simplicity.” The newlyweds add, “Every moment of the union was so meticulously planned and deeply meaningful. It was a seamless fusion of tradition, sleek elegance and personalisation, which made it all the more memorable.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The indoor mehndi was a close-knit celebration where the ladies got their hands patterned with henna while groovy music played in the background. Adorned with floral arches and foliage, the decor was minimal and refreshing.

Carnival Sangeet
The carnival sangeet in the evening had everyone shaking a leg. Making a showstopping entry with their friends and cousins, the bride and groom looked chic in their western attire. A wide dancefloor, fairylights and delicate floral arrangements balanced the energetic ambience. An elaborate spread of delicacies had guests reaching out for second helpings once the performances were done!
Phoolon ki Holi
Instead of the conventional haldi where the bride and groom are slathered with turmeric, Vyoma and Neel decided to host a ‘phoolon ki holi’. The garden-based venue made for a picturesque spot adorned with earthy elements and pops of sky blue. The flower shower resulted in aesthetically pleasing candid shots of the couple, while engaging games kept the guests occupied throughout the celebration.
Wedding
Team Darkhorse Events shares, “The phera ceremony, as per the couple’s brief, was the perfect mix of grandeur and elegance. Utmost attention was given to intricate details and we ensured that each element contributed to the overall experience. A live band created an emotional yet festive ambiance while the stunning floral decor inspired awe!”
