Latika shares, “Both of us have travelled extensively and we wanted our honeymoon to be a new experience. In the beginning, there were many brainstorming sessions where we struggled to lock in the destination. We, finally, narrowed it down to South America, Finland or Norway. Honestly, I’ve always dreamed of seeing the Northern Lights. And after much discussion, we picked Finland. It was a fulfilling experience for both of us as the place is so romantic and serene.”

Latika shares, “Boon Nam at Helinski served us the best Thai cuisine we’ve ever tasted. It was an 11-course meal with a modern take on Thai food. Everything was impeccable.”
Most Romantic Moment
Latika, “The hotels in Lapland took the cake! From the serene views from the glass igloos to outdoor tubs overlooking the snow-capped mountains and pine trees, it doesn’t get any more dreamy. In terms of experiences, witnessing the magic of the aurora for the first time was my favourite moment. Will never forget that mesmerizing sky full of northern lights. A close second favourite is the outdoor private spa and sauna at Foxfires, Levi. It was surreal!”
Advice for couples
Latika shares, “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, I highly recommend it to every couple. However, I am a winter lover so I love such experiences and places. It is a slow, romantic, serene holiday with many activities and experiences to do together as firsts. On such trips, it is advisable to go ahead with an airtight plan and a travel curator for us was a saviour!”
