Honeymoon Planning
Radhika shares, “We wanted to do a short honeymoon immediately after the wedding and wanted to select a place with moderate climate and unique landscapes for a romantic getaway. Turkey of course was the obvious choice! We later went to the US for an extended honeymoon of 20 days exploring the cities and states we both love!”
Honeymoon Highlights
“Vibrant bazaars, turquoise blue water, and remarkable historic sites, Turkey had it all! We explored the gorgeous cities of Cappadocia and Istanbul and had some incredible stay experiences, like the iconic Cave Suites of Cappadocia.”
“The US was something we both always dreamt of exploring with our loved ones, and during our 20-day trip, we visited Las Vegas, New York City, and San Fransisco. The beaches of San Francisco were beautiful and had amazing vibes, while the NYC skyline, streets, food, and more made for some memorable moments. Las Vegas was by far our favorite spot, with its amazing nightlife, casinos, and experiences starting right from the airport”.
Best Meal of the trip
“As a vegetarian, pizza is always a go-to option! We loved the baklava in Turkey, while the chipotle, Mexican nachos, and variety of ice creams in the US were memorable.”
Most romantic moment
“The hot air balloon ride at Cappadocia and the picturesque sunrise were the most romantic and surreal experiences. The couple’s hammam (Turkish spa and bath) was an amazing experience as well, and helped us unwind and connect.”
Advice for other couples
“Turkey is beautiful and the ideal honeymoon destination for short getaways! You get the most luxurious hotels and flawless service, not to mention the people who are so generous and humble. Do remember to check on the weather conditions before you plan.”
“The US on the other hand is vast and diverse and something for everyone, so you will always be spoilt for choice. Do select your states wisely and try to cover not more than 3-4 for that perfect balance of relaxation and enjoyment”.
