Shrishti and Mohit’s mothers played Cupid and as a result, they became friends and fell in love over time. They wanted to enjoy their 15-day honeymoon in places that promised both romance and adventure. So they flew to Thailand and Bali in Indonesia. Shrishti shares a few highlights of their unforgettable trip here.
How We Met
“The credit goes to our mothers. First, they became good friends which led to our friendship. We met and gradually our bond started growing day by day.”
Honeymoon Planning
“For our honeymoon, we both wanted places which were romantic as well as adventurous. So we opted for Bali in Indonesia and Thailand, specifically Bangkok, Phuket and Krabi. We were also considering Europe, Sri Lanka and New Zealand, but opted for the tropical paradises instead.”
Honeymoon Highlights
“In Bali, we visited Ubud and Kintamani. We also saw the baron dance which depicts a story about the fight between good and evil. Ubud village celebrates the beauty of nature and traditional culture. We tried Luwak coffee, which is the world’s most expensive coffee when we visited Uma Pakel Agrotourism in Ubud. We also enjoyed at the Safari World and Marine Park. We had the most romantic sunset dinner on a cruise where we won an award for being the ‘Best Dancing Couple.’ We enjoyed the nightlife of Phuket and Phi Phi Island. In Krabi we did a speedboat tour of four islands which included Pruning beach, Tup Island, Chicken Island and Poda Island. We also visited the gems gallery, golden Buddha marble temple and the reclining Buddha in Bangkok.”
Best Meal Of The Trip
“We had the best meals in Bali at the Queen of India restaurant and at a seafood cafe on Jimbaran beach. In Thailand, the street food was the best, especially in Phuket’s Bangla Road, Patong beach as well as Kata beach. One should certainly visit the local food markets to experience the ethnic cuisine.”
Most Romantic Moment
“Every moment that we spent in Bali was romantic, especially the sunset dinner on the cruise. Bali’s natural beauty along with our stay at Bali Dream Villa Seminyak and Bali Discovery Kritika Plaza made everything perfect.”
Advice For Couples
Must Experience
You must go to Ubud village in Bali and experience the sunset dinner on a cruise. Make sure you visit the popular Kuta beach. In Thailand, you must take a trip to Phi Phi Island as well as Poda Island.”
Can Avoid
“Bangkok can be avoided if you want to have a more romantic honeymoon. Instead, opt for Pattaya. We feel Bangkok is a highly commercialised place.”

“You should avoid the ping pong shows in Thailand.”
