Manjari Chatrath

Being a completely hands-on bride, Manjari was super well-planned: not only were her outfits done almost 6 months in advance, she had had planned her looks for the three key functions – the Cocktail, the Sangeet (Garba style) and the Wedding to the finest detail. Her shopping was done across the country- Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata and Mumbai. And her tasteful and classy jewellery was carefully put together over a period of time.

Her shopping was done across the country- Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata and Mumbai. And her tasteful and classy jewellery was carefully put together over a period of time.

Starting with the cocktail which was a slightly casual affair at Escobar (Bandra), Manjari preferred a simple and traditional look. “I wanted a minimalistic yet traditional look, and so I paired a beautiful, simple Anarkali, from Kolkata, with very simple and subtle make-up & jewellery.”

Next day her Mehndi was artistically applied over 6 hours which was then followed by the Sangeet. Her lehenga, bought from Ranas, Jaipur, was a fusion of bright shades of pink and red. For this occasion, Manjari decided to go more intense with her makeup, which was done by Amrita Sanghvi. Her hair was put into soft curls and taken to one side to give her a look that was distinctly glamorous and feminine.

For the wedding day, Manjari wanted acompletely traditional, elegant and simple feel. Her hair was swept into a bun with a traditional maang tikka. In her red and green lehenga, with her chuda, nath and kohl lined eyes Manjari looked the quintessential Indian bride.
