Dipika met Jay in Washington DC through the Raas-Garba collegiate dance circuit, a beginning that already hinted at the rhythm their wedding would later take on. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite F5 Weddings, their celebration at Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar brought together layered aesthetics, cultural references, and deeply personal storytelling, captured in beautiful portraits by WeddingSutra Favorite Magic Motion Media.
Mehendi: Mirrorwork Modernity
For the mehendi, Dipika chose an ITRH ensemble that balanced structure with shimmer. A halter-neck mirror lace jhalar tunic, detailed with geometric mirrorwork, was paired with an olive draped velvet skirt – the look was anchored with a statement maang tikka from Purab Paschim, bringing a hint of traditional opulence to the contemporary silhouette.
Haldi: Soft Sparkle
For the haldi, she turned to Dolly J Bridal Collection in an Elysian mint cocktail lehenga. The palette set a soft, luminous tone for the morning, while the layered sparkle in the ensemble caught the light with ease. Styled with delicate, reflective jewellery, the look felt ethereal without being overworked.
Garba: High Energy Heritage
The garba night brought full vibrance in a Frenyz Couture black and white lehenga, brought to life with abla mirror work, Kutchi multicolour embroidery, tassels, and bead detailing. The styling leaned into Gujarat’s festive vocabulary, completed with a statement silver and enamel necklace and oxidised bangles, including a jhanjhar bangle set that moved with sound and rhythm through the night.
Sangeet: Contemporary Classic
For the sangeet, Dipika wore House of Masaba in an ivory tissue lehenga from the ‘Tera Khayal’ edit. Gold embroidery patchwork and signature motifs like ‘Son Chidiya’ and ‘Chaand’ gave the look a poetic quality. Styled with layered haath phool and statement headpieces, the ensemble felt light, modern and performance-ready, supported by jewellery from Amama Jewels, By Nirjari and Shop Anatina.
Wedding: Heritage Redefined
For the wedding ceremony, she chose a Marwar Couture lehenga in ivory and maroon raw silk. Mughal-inspired artwork, enriched with gota, dori, and hand embroidery, gave the ensemble depth and tradition. Set against Jaipur’s grandeur, the look felt rooted, ceremonial, and timeless without leaning into excess.
Reception: Botanical Couture
For the reception, Dipika shifted into Rahul Mishra, wearing a botanical garden-inspired ‘Phalgun’ lehenga skirt paired with a corset and a petit veil. The look carried his signature nature-led storytelling, closing the wedding on a note that felt artistic, modern, and considered.
