Nidhi Sunil
Rooted in craft, reuse, and cultural continuity, this bride’s wedding wardrobe reflected a thoughtful approach to dressing for each moment.
For model Nidhi Sunil and musician Noah Katz-Appel, the wedding in Kerala was designed to unfold at an unhurried pace. Hosted at Kumarakom Lake Resort, The celebrations brought together Hindu and Jewish rituals in a setting that felt calm, grounded, and intentional. The bride’s trousseau also followed a clear design language – intention over excess. From plant-dyed textiles to modular ensembles designed to be reconfigured and re-worn, her looks combined traditional references with modern construction.

Mehndi: Colour with Purpose
The mehndi took place by the pool at Kumarakom Lake Resort, with décor in pinks, yellows and greens set against the backwaters. Styled by Akshay Tyagi, Nidhi wore a Re-ceremonial ghaghra constructed from 48 plant-dyed panels, moving from chartreuse to turquoise. The skirt was dyed using hibiscus, marigold, and indigo, and finished with a vintage Kerala sari border, paired with a silk blouse inspired by traditional draping.

Haldi: Kept Simple
Held in the presidential suite, the Haldi ceremony followed a restrained palette, with guests dressed in white. Nidhi wore an ivory silk sari and veshti by Re-ceremonial, edged with subtle gota detailing. Designed to be re-dyed later, the ensemble reflected the couple’s preference for clothing that could continue beyond the wedding. Jewellery choices here were rooted in Kerala traditions, with a focus on simpler, handcrafted pieces.

Kala Sandhya: An Evening of Music
The Kala Sandhya was held later that evening, with a deeper colour palette centred on red. Nidhi wore Divani Couture’s Dapka-Chadi lehenga in silk tissue, paired with the Gulistan jacket embroidered with the Chand Anaar Boota. The look was completed with a Ratna-Topi and a handcrafted parandi.

Wedding: A Meeting of Traditions
The wedding ceremony took place by the backwaters, with a traditional Chettinad-style mantap set against the natural surroundings. Florals were kept classic, using jasmine, tuberose and rajnigandha. The ceremony incorporated both Hindu and Jewish elements, allowing space for each without shortening either. For the ceremony, Nidhi wore a custom JADE by Monica & Karishma ensemble featuring a structured vermilion bustier and a fit-and-flare skirt with tone-on-tone embroidery and light crystal detailing.

Reception: Modern and Adaptable
The reception palette shifted to black and gold with chartreuse accents, marigolds and diyas. Nidhi wore a five-piece ensemble by Bodements, styled for dinner with a zardozi-embroidered silk georgette skirt and draped sleeve, then reworked into a shorter silhouette for the after-party.
