Priyanka Arora Gogia
Striking couture, exquisite jewellery and larger-than-life celebrations were the order of the day.
Every girl dreams of a breathtakingly-exquisite bridal wardrobe. For her wedding, Priyanka sought out the most illustrious designers from India, procuring truly mesmerizing outfits for each of her functions. Her trousseau was an eclectic compilation of ensembles featuring traditional and contemporary styles, in an array of hues and showcasing different forms of craftsmanship. Here are glimpses of her gorgeous outfits, captured by WeddingSutra Favourite – CineLove Productions.
How They Met
Priyanka’s love story gives new meaning to the term ‘whirlwind romance’. The couple met through their families, and it took them just two meetings to know they had each found ‘the one’. Believing in the phrase ‘when you know, you know’, they did not want to wait for long before embarking on a life together.
Wedding Functions
Cocktail Party
The festivities kicked off with a fabulous cocktail party at the luxurious Veda Farms. For the occasion, Priyanka emerged in a stunning couture lehenga by Manish Malhotra, which was all soft pastel shades in striking contrast with metallic elements and Ecru net. The outfit, embellished with silver appliqué leaves and tendrils as well as 3D floral thread work, was an ethereal masterpiece. Priyanka completed her look with enchanting diamond jewellery, metallic eye makeup and bold red lipstick.
Mehndi
For the upbeat mehndi function, the bride looked radiant in a bubblegum-pink lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. The outfit featured beautiful mirror work that perfectly matched the groom’s blue mirror-work kurta from the same label. With soft wavy tresses, floral jewelry and chic mirrored sunglasses, she was quite the cool bride.
Wedding
Every girl dreams of being a Sabyasachi bride! Priyanka looked stunning, a quintessential Indian bride, in a scintillating red lehenga by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, which was intricately-embellished and embroidered in gold. With heavy Polki jewellery, a bold maang tikka and passa (hair accessory), a statement Polki nath (nosering), and traditional gold Kaleerein, she was the very picture of regality. She wore her hair pulled back in an elegant bun, accented with jasmine flowers, to complete her wonderfully-traditional look.
