Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The mehndi, which was the first event of the wedding celebrations, took place at the bride’s house. Rimi wore a self-designed red outfit that was resplendent with tiny gold tassels. To match the outfit, she adorned her hairdo with an elaborate ‘matha patti’ (forehead ornament) and opted for a natural makeup look with bold red lips.
Garba and Sangeet
The ‘garba’ and sangeet were hosted at the Meadows Club. Rimi wore a self-designed grey and black lehenga for the evening. The outfit, which featured a perfect balance of embroidery and dark hues, was accessorized with statement kundan jewellery including a ‘maang tikka’ (head ornament). Rimi’s subtle makeup highlighted her beautiful features.
Pithi and Grah Shanti
For the traditional ‘pithi’ ceremony, Rimi opted for a peach and yellow outfit which she accessorized with a pair of statement earrings and a floral crown. For the ‘grah shanti’ prayer ceremony that took place later, she changed into a beautiful green and pink saree which was gifted to her by her mother. She paired it with a green velvet blouse and a layered necklace.
Wedding
For the wedding ceremony, Rimi wore a traditional red lehenga by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Its lovely color, intricate embroidery, and fine details made this piece a modern classic. Her makeup was all about highlighting the eyes and flaunting a glowing visage which had Rimi looking radiant all through the function.
Reception
For the reception evening, Rimi wore a silver and grey Manish Malhotra creation which had beautiful details on the one-shoulder blouse. Teamed with a pair of statement earrings, this stunning ensemble was the perfect choice for the glitzy reception.
