Bombay to Goa: A wedding where traditions were honored and celebrations got their own destination!

Format is passé. Apeksha and Shatrugan’s wedding, carefully curated and brought to life by WeddingSutra Favorite – Amore World Events, was a destination celebration with a difference. Post their wedding ceremony in Mumbai, the wedding party headed to the sunny beaches of Goa for a multi-day celebration that was like a mini vacation!

The wedding was not defined by a single aesthetic or moment—but by its ability to move seamlessly between tradition and modernity, intimacy and scale, structure and spontaneity. It was a well-composed experience—one that understood that today’s luxury lies not in excess, but in intention.”
Wedding Functions
Welcome
The welcome unfolded in the hotel’s unconventional, urban-chic lobby. Guests were greeted with olive garlands, artisanal shots, and personalized coconut water—an elegant yet playful nod to Goan culture. The soundscape of a live international saxophonist layered with darbuka rhythms introduced a distinct global energy.
Lunch
A flamingo-toned photobooth installation, framed with natural foliage and a gold laser-cut hashtag—#ShotskiApeksha—brought in a sense of youthful glamour. The Limoncello-inspired daytime celebration enjoyed an aesthetic rooted in sun-washed tones of ivory and citrus. Botanical styling, lemons placed within rustic cane elements, and cabana lounges created an atmosphere that felt relaxed yet considered.
Sangeet
The Sangeet and Varmala ceremony at Rock Pool, conceptualized as “Neon Tides,” unfolded between the Arabian Sea and an open starlit sky.
Fluid architectural forms, immersive lighting in electric violet, cobalt blue, and fuchsia, and a rising sun-inspired stage backdrop created a setting that felt both surreal and symbolic.
The couple chose to reimagine their Varmala ceremony despite already being married. The bride’s entry beneath a floral canopy contrasted beautifully with the groom’s high-energy arrival, amplified by SFX and live performance elements.
International fire performers, acrobats, and dancers followed. And the high-energy evening led to the dance floor that transitioned seamlessly from curated family performances to a high-voltage afterparty led by DJ Amann Nagpal.
Drunch
The poolside “Drunch” was a tropical, free-flowing celebration—where color palettes mirrored a tequila sunrise and the mood leaned into effortless indulgence.
The couple’s entry stood out not for extravagance, but for emotion—they were led by their friends in a symbolic show of solidarity. DJ Hiren’s Ibiza-style sonic palette transformed the day into a beach club experience.
After party
Titled “Drunk in Love,” the afterparty featured a refined yet high-impact design—minimal floral structures, illuminated chandeliers, suspended orbs, and layered foliage creating depth without excess. Live performances by Stebin Ben and Prakriti Giri elevated the evening beyond entertainment. As the night progressed, the celebration transitioned into a neon-driven after-hours party.
