Getting married on one of the gorgeous beach resorts in Thailand with ruby red sunsets is an experience like no other. Backed by a strong ethos of warm hospitality, this destination has emerged as one of the most popular amongst couples who are planning to tie the knot.
We have 10 couples who tell us the ways in which Thailand made their wedding truly special for them.
1. Divya and Nitin, Dusit Thani Hua Hin
‘Around the world in just three days’ would have been a fitting theme for Divya and Nitin’s wedding. Keen on having a wedding in Thailand, the couple hosted their celebrations in Hua Hin and explored themes inspired by places all around the globe. Divya tell us about her wedding venue “Out of all the properties in Hua Hin, Dusit Thani was the grandest! Plus, it had a beautiful big ballroom that could accommodate all our wedding guests. The hotel decor, service, and food were outstanding,” Divya said.
2. Namrta and Rohan, Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa
Through their wedding celebration in Rayong, Namrta and Rohan treated their guests to a long weekend at one of the most stunning resorts in the world. Needless to say, their wedding was filled with cheer and infectious happiness. Namrta says, “We wanted a beach wedding somewhere between India and New Zealand to make it convenient for families and friends from both sides to attend. We chose the Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa after hearing great reviews, particularly about the hotel food. One visit was all it took to reassure us we’d made the right selection.”
3. Reshu and Krish, Angsana Laguna Phuket
Reshu and Krish’s wedding in Phuket turned out to be a stand out affair as they paid a tribute to the cities that won their hearts through the concepts that shaped their functions. The couple knew that they wanted a destination wedding and fell in love with Angsana Laguna Phuket’s stunning property. Reshu says, “It is a modern tropical getaway and considering we have a lot of friends and relatives in Asia, Thailand proved to be the ideal destination. For friends and family that lived in the west, we knew that this would be a completely different experience that they were bound to enjoy.”
4. Sadikchya and Vineet, The Palayana Hua Hin
Be it a happening pool party or ceremonies steeped in culture, Sadikchya and Vineet’s wedding at The Palayana Hua Hin had it all. The couple knew that they had found their wedding venue the moment they stepped foot on the property. “Vineet wanted a beach wedding, so we went around looking for venues in Thailand and found this one to be just wonderful. The size of the property was ideal to accommodate all our guests. The staff was amazing, always smiling and willing to go the extra mile to serve us. The food there was phenomenal too! “Sadikchya says.
5. Khushbu and Mehul, Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa
Khushbu and Mehul’s wedding in Hua Hin was a non-stop party with not a moment of lull. The three-day long nuptials were done to perfection and hosted at the couple’s dream property. “Our wedding took place at the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa in Thailand. We fell in love with it the instant we stepped into it. We had seen many venues during our first trip to Thailand, but this one stuck out to us. We both had the same reaction to it so we knew that this was the place we’d get married at,” says the bride.
6. Smridhi and Arnav, Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya
Thai themed decor, functions against the backdrop of azure waters and striking attires made Smridhi and Arnav’s Pattaya wedding memorable. The bride says “We definitely wanted a destination wedding but we were clear that the location should be convenient for our guests. So we picked Thailand as our loved ones were able to travel there quite easily.” She also mentions that Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort in Pattaya was the perfect venue for the quintessential dreamy beach vibe they wanted.
7. Chandni and Jatin, The Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai
For Chandni, there was no better place to get married at than the country where she grew up. In one of the more laid-back destinations in Thailand, Chiang Mai is where she began her happily ever after. “I wanted to pick a hotel that would showcase the true heritage and culture of the country. It was quite important to me and we chose The Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai. Not only is it one of the most stunning hotels in Thailand, it’s a convenient distance from Bangkok which made it the perfect location for our wedding,” says Chandni.
8. Mugdha and Pranav, Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket
Pretty decor and stunning vistas were the highlights of Mugdha and Pranav’s nuptials in Phuket. The bride shares what made Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa in Phuket stand out from other places. “We wanted a scenic backdrop for our events and found that this hotel was perfect for us. After checking over 15 properties in Phuket, we instantly fell in love with the property’s breathtaking views and quaint Thai-style villas perched on a cliff. Besides, we had heard a lot about their hospitality and service which further influenced our decision,” she says.
9. Pallavi and Prabhas, Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort
Bright hues colored Pallavi and Prabhas’ celebrations and their exuberant personalities rubbed off on all their guests making their nuptials a joyful affair. The cheery vibe of the Land of Smiles added further to the mood of the wedding, thus giving everyone in attendance some of the happiest days of their lives.
The couple wanted a destination wedding in the balmy tropics and so they chose Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort to be the venue and managed to weave in all the magic into their functions.
10. Evneet and Chanpreet, JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa
For their nuptials, both Evneet and Chanpreet unanimously agreed on Thailand. Expressing her happiness over her pleasurable stay in Thailand, Evneet shares, “I don’t think any other destination would have served as well as Thailand did. The warm hospitality that we received from this beautiful place was out of this world.” Hosted at the JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, the duo’s union had prime views of the scenic shoreline peppered with swaying trees and vast, pristine beaches.
