The location for the Bridal Diaries shoot was the luxurious JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu. The unparalleled location overlooks the sparkling Arabian Sea, a luxury property that is peaceful despite its proximity to Mumbai’s domestic and international airports. Team WeddingSutra discovered a range of contemporary venues and stylish experiences here. We have put together an inspiring storyboard to bring to life visions of a wedding at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu.
1. Glimpses of the Stars
The bride’s lehenga in traditional yellow and pink, an orange dupatta draped over her head, was perfectly enhanced by this elaborate choker, inspired by the crescent moon, from Manubhai Jewellers. This stellar piece was teamed with a rajwadi haar of emerald beads, white parabs and south sea pearls. Ethereal and fascinating, the bride’s traditional ‘choodah’ (set of bridal bangles), gold ring and ‘Maathapati’ (forehead ornament) was part of the bespoke jewellery by Manubhai Jewellers. An exquisite, exotic radiance via gold eye makeup enhanced with kohl and a pretty pink pout – this is the eternal spring bride.

2. Flawless bridal finesse
Rooted in her traditions, this bride wore a gold necklace by Manubhai Jewellers with intricate Nakshi Karigari across the whole set. Unique etching at every curve of the neck brought in piques of interest and were echoed in the swing of the traditional jhumkis. A powder pink lehenga by JADE adorned with intricate detail was accessorized with bangles and kadas replete with leaf motifs in a matte antique finish and a gold ring with a ruby stone. The effortless reception look came together with a pulled back bun and a bold magenta pout.

3. An opulent modernity
A new-age bride, a new-age way of adornment – this Rajasthani Hasdi design is creating using gold beads and blue pin-enameled beads. The jewellery works beautifully with her pastel peach lehenga, in a traditional sense but with a nod to her youth. Inspired by the architecture of the Marwari Mahals, the second string is a delightful melange of eye-catching elements – blue meenakari, white kundan karigari and gold beads. Gold ‘kadas’ (bracelets) with beautiful filigree work complete the look. The jhumkis’ peacock motifs match the mantle of the pendant – an element of regal opulence. She makes a statement as she walks in a heavily embellished peach lehenga by Shyamal and Bhumika. Make-up was a striking deep pink pout and gold eyes.
