The Proposal
Set against the postcard-perfect backdrop of Lake Bled in Slovenia, the proposal was as cinematic as it was unexpected. “I was making a reel throughout the trip, and he chose the very last day, while we were filming the final bit, to propose,” Anushi shares. The surprise, layered with the charm of travel and spontaneity, marked a fitting beginning to their journey.

Wedding Planning
The celebrations were orchestrated by Mpire Weddings, who ensured the experience remained stress-free and immersive for the couple. Anushi shares, “From helping us choose the right vendors to negotiating, everything was smoothly done. During the wedding days, I wasn’t even involved for a second. From the first entry pep talk to making them drink on the last day, it was all amazing!” Their attention to detail and hands-on approach allowed every event to unfold with ease while keeping the energy high and spirits lifted.

Chooda
Bathed in soft daylight and framed by lush greenery, the chooda ceremony carried an easy, joyful energy. With her closest friends by her side, Anushi embraced the moment with infectious enthusiasm, turning the ceremony into a lively, laughter-filled gathering that felt both intimate and celebratory.

Cocktail
A striking shift in mood, the cocktail evening unfolded in a dramatic palette of red. Flowing drapes, ambient lighting, and coordinated furnishings created a cohesive visual narrative, while a bespoke bar served cocktails inspired by the couple’s personal tastes. The evening felt immersive and indulgent, setting the tone for a night of effortless revelry.

Wedding
Rooted in Anushi’s long-held vision, the wedding ceremony embraced an all-ivory aesthetic that exuded calm and understated elegance. “It was always my dream to have that peaceful aura and calm vibe, and every guest followed it so beautifully,” she shares. The highlight of the ceremony was deeply personal as Anushi walked down the aisle escorted by both her grandmothers, a moment that added emotional depth to the serene setting.
Her lehenga, designed in collaboration with her mother, stood out as a true labour of love. Intricately handcrafted, it featured fifteen elements that narrated the couple’s story, making it as meaningful as it was visually exquisite.

Reception
The reception embraced a richer, more opulent mood with a red and gold theme. Accents of roses, Persian carpets, and warm golden lighting created a layered, inviting atmosphere. Live performances brought energy to the evening, while a packed dancefloor ensured the celebrations carried on with unrestrained enthusiasm, closing the wedding on a high note.

Advice For Couples
Anushi shares, “Truly enjoy every moment, from the planning phase to the very last day. Don’t stress over the small things; no one notices, and it’s never worth the energy. I’m someone who does decor myself, so I was very particular, but trust me, on the day, it doesn’t matter as much as you think. Also, remember to eat! After tasting over 500 dishes during the planning, I barely ate at my own wedding.”
