How They Met
The bride shares, “So… we met at work. Very original, I know. Very, this was not part of the plan.’ Vipul and I were in that typical office situation, talking a lot, pretending it’s normal, convincing ourselves and others that we’re just friends. We were those people who said ‘No, no, we’re just colleagues’ while talking all day, sharing coffee breaks, inside jokes, and long, late-night conversations that had nothing to do with work.

Somewhere between all of that, it just became easy. There was no big dramatic moment in the beginning. No violins, no slow motion. Just two people slowly choosing each other every day without even realising when friendship quietly turned into love. Life made sure the story became very filmy, just the way we like it. And honestly, that’s our favorite part of the story.”

The Proposal
The bride shares, “The proposal story really began at the same place where we eventually got married, so our story literally came full circle, which still feels unreal sometimes.

But the first proposal attempt was a complete movie scene. I had planned a candlelight date for him, and that night, he had secretly planned to propose. Everything was going perfectly until the couple at the next table started their own proposal. The guy got down on one knee, everyone started watching, people were clapping, a full dramatic restaurant scene… and I cringed so hard watching that proposal that Vipul quietly put the ring back in his pocket and cancelled his plan.

So technically, I rejected a proposal that hadn’t even happened. But this man did not give up. Later, he planned the most beautiful proposal in the valleys, the whole place decorated with lights and flowers, straight out of a movie. And when he finally asked me to marry him, I said yes before he could even finish the question. Very Bollywood. Very us.”

Wedding Planning
Taking on the ambitious task of planning their wedding without a professional planner, Sasha and Vipul relied entirely on their inner circle, with the bride’s mother at the helm, orchestrating every detail with care and precision. From décor to logistics and last-minute decisions, the celebrations came together through the collective effort of family and friends, resulting in a wedding that felt genuine and full of warmth.

Beautifully capturing this journey was Knotty Affair by Namit and Vipul, who blended seamlessly into the celebrations and documented every moment with remarkable sensitivity and precision. As the bride shares, “We had an amazing experience with the entire team at Knotty Affair! From start to finish, the team was incredibly professional, creative, and attentive. They perfectly captured all those once-in-a-lifetime moments that we’ll cherish forever. Every special detail, emotion, and candid shot was beautifully documented, just as we had discussed during our brief. What truly set them apart was how they didn’t feel like photographers at all; they felt like friends with cameras in their hands. They made everyone feel so comfortable and natural, which really shows in the pictures and videos. The photography itself was a solid 11/10! We also received a wedding film that we know we’ll watch millions of times throughout our lives, reliving those moments over a cup of coffee again and again. The editing was beautifully aligned with our vision. Every frame tells a story, and looking through the photos and videos truly feels like stepping back into those special days. Thank you for making our wedding memories so magical. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a talented and reliable photography team! ”

Advice For Couples
“Our biggest advice to couples getting married is honestly this: don’t get too involved and don’t get too fixated on making everything perfect.

Because this is something no one tells you enough, this day will never come back. You will never again have this exact set of people, this version of you, and this moment all in one place.

What you will actually remember is how you felt that day. And if you are too focused on everything being perfect, it is very easy to miss the whole experience while trying to control it.

So if things do not go exactly as planned, choose to enjoy it anyway. This is the first day of your life together, start it with calm, laughter, and love.

Also, after hours of smiling, standing, photos, lights, and heavy outfits, it can get overwhelming. Assign one friend, cousin, or sibling whose only job is to take care of you, giving you water, snacks, and reminding you to sit. Because the couple is often the last to eat at their own wedding.”
