Wedding Planning
When it came to planning their wedding, Charmi and Yash were certain about one thing: it had to feel like an authentic reflection of who they are. With seven functions across two days, along with a pre-wedding celebration in Mumbai, the scale was expansive. Yet, under the careful planning of The Wed Fam, the experience never felt overwhelming. Pre-Wedding Reception
The decor embraced bold elegance, with a deep red stage anchoring the space. The richness of the palette created a dramatic contrast against the couple’s understated black and nude gold ensembles. The mood was refined yet impactful, offering a glimpse into the layered aesthetic that would define the celebrations ahead.
Mehendi and Mameru
The first day opened with parallel celebrations, mameru for the groom’s side and a vibrant mehendi for the bride’s guests. The setting came alive with a contemporary mela-inspired aesthetic. Shades of orange and pink infused the space with warmth, while playful elements lent a sense of movement and energy. The decor felt immersive, almost as if guests were stepping into the couple’s world for the very first time, joyful and full of character.
Shaadi Olympics
Infused with Yash’s love for sports, the Shaadi Olympics brought a spirited, unconventional twist to the celebrations. The lawns transformed into a lively arena, where Team Bride and Team Groom competed in games and cricket. The atmosphere was electric, with guests shedding all formality and embracing the joy of participation. The couple’s entry on a golf cart set the tone, followed by a table tennis match, a nostalgic nod to where their story first began.
Sangeet
Held in the ballroom, the sangeet was an uninhibited celebration of music and movement. With a disco-inspired theme, the space shimmered with high-energy glamour. Haldi
In contrast, the haldi brought a gentle shift in tempo. Inspired by the simplicity of a traditional North Indian ‘ghar ki shaadi’, the setting was intimate and serene. Urlis nestled under trees, paired with soft, flowing fabrics, created a warm and inviting ambience.
Wedding
The wedding ceremony stood as the most emotional chapter of the celebrations. The decor embraced a rich palette of red and gold, drawing inspiration from the ghats of Banaras. The setting evoked a sense of devotion and spirituality, aligning with the couple’s desire for a ceremony that felt pure and meaningful. As Charmi made her entrance by boat at the lakeside venue, the moment unfolded with cinematic grace. Yash’s emotional reaction as he saw her for the first time added a deeply personal layer to the ceremony.
Reception
Inspired by a sense of understated Disney magic, the decor featured delicate fairy lights and flowing white organza, creating an ethereal, intimate atmosphere. The evening unfolded through heartfelt speeches, emotional toasts, and the couple’s first dance.
