Roshni Rajani – JADE

As part of our initiative WeddingSutra On Location, we invited four brides-to-be for a unique experience at the exclusive JADE Couture Studio, Lower Parel, Mumbai, the brainchild of designer duo Monica & Karishma. Starting with a Style Consultation, followed by a Makeover and culminating in a professional Photo Shoot, each bride-to-be had the opportunity to interact with some of the best names in Bridal and Wedding services.

Here, in the last of the four-part series, bride-to-be Roshni Rajani writes about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at the JADE Studio.

“Goosebumps! I suppose slight nervousness and a tingle of excitement is what every bride goes through while getting ready for D-Day. And that’s exactly how I felt when I received an email from WeddingSutra and ENJAY Events informing me that I’d been selected as one of the brides to be featured in WeddingSutra’s celebrated On Location shoot in Mumbai.

On the day of the shoot, when I reached JADE Couture Studio, I was charmed by Team WeddingSutra’s warm greetings and so impressed with the royal interiors of the studio. Wish I had a home like this! Once I’d settled in, they showed me some outfits by JADE by Monica and Karishma. There were so many beautiful, inspired bridal creations, but an elegant, rouge, resham lehenga with intricate temple motifs on pure raw silk, paired with a shimmering gold choli from the ‘The Temples of Hoysala’ collection stood out. Once I tried it on, I loved it even more!

I was then introduced to make-up maestro, Ojas Rajani. She did a fantastic job! I loved how the look was just right and not OTT. Ojas devoted a lot of time to each and every bride and the result was that everyone looked gorgeous! She was very intuitive about my personal style, styled my hair into soft, natural curls which went really well with my lehenga.

All said, I would recommend this experience to every bride-to-be. You get to try on beautiful outfits, have makeup and hair done by some of the biggest names in the industry, pose for the camera and feel like a model for a day- what’s not to love? Moreover, wedding planning can be very stressful and meeting other brides who are in the same boat as you, makes you realize that you’re not the only one! Roshni’s Look

Ojas decided to give a minimalist bridal look to Roshni. Ojas began by creating a base with the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Foundation in Ivory Fair on her face. She then set the base with the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Compact in Ivory Fair. To keep her eye makeup subtle, Ojas used just a hint of the Lakmé Absolute Gel Addict Eyeliner in Bronze on her eyelids. To give a smokey look she used the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate on the corner of her eyes. She then added a few coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara to her lashes. Ojas brushed on a the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in Rose Blush shade on her cheeks. For her lips, Ojas used the creamy Lakmé Absolute Creme Lipcolor in Candy Floss shade. Finally Alisha’s hair was styled with soft curls on one side.
