Deeya Chopra and Ritchie Mehta, Delhi
The #hitchedtoritch wedding of TV actress Deeya Chopra was a 4-day long glamorous affair in Delhi.
Roshni Chopra’s beautiful sister and a popular television actress, Deeya Chopra got married to her London-based beau amidst much aplomb and fanfare at her hometown in Delhi.
How they Met
Deeya met Ritchie through a common friend. The two hit-it-off instantly and realized that they truly belong to each other. Ritchie is a hopeless romantic. He wanted to surprise Deeya with a romantic proposal that she could reminisce forever. He arranged for a bouquet of 500 white roses alongside an emotional note and a carefully curated scrapbook that carried the details of all the special moments that the couple had shared together. Deeya was happily surprised and the two of them got engaged soon after.
Wedding Functions
Bachelorette
The wedding festivities began with a fun bachelorette party planned and hosted by her sister, Roshni Chopra who organized a color coordinated pink and white theme for the function. It had Deeya’s bride squad wear matching team brides t-shirts, posing for candid pictures and enjoying champagne at this fun event.
Cocktail
For the elegant cocktail party Deeya looked stunning in a beautiful powder blue saree from Ritika Mirchandani while Ritchie was dapper in an all-black outfit teamed with a maroon pocket square.
Mehndi
Her mehndi ceremony kicked off with the customary mehndi application, which later transitioned into fun games, song & dance and long chat sessions! The decor was entirely done in colorful florals which perfectly complemented her light blue lehenga designed by sister Roshni Chopra and floral jewellery.
Wedding
Deeya and Ritchie had a traditional Punjabi wedding which had her celebrity friends such as Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal attend the event. It was an outdoor wedding, held at the garden lawn which was decorated entirely in red and white flowers. While Deeya looked resplendent in a baby pink and gold embellished lehenga and matching maang tikka, earrings and kaleerein, Ritchie looked every bit of a suave Maharaja in a dull white sherwani and a matching safa.
