For interior designer Zara Lalla and Yohann Dastoor, elegance was always going to be at the heart of their celebrations. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Ishaara Events, the wedding unfolded as an intimate yet visually striking affair where thoughtful details, lush florals and warm hospitality came together seamlessly. From romantic English garden-inspired entrances to refined tablescapes drenched in blooms, every celebration reflected the couple’s vision of great food, vibrant energy and unforgettable music.
How They Met
Zara shares, “Yohann and I met in 2021 at a mutual friend’s birthday party and immediately hit it off. A month later, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and we’ve pretty much been inseparable since! Three and a half years into our relationship, on a spontaneous trip to Paris, he proposed.”
Wedding Planning
The couple envisioned celebrations that felt immersive yet effortless, with florals taking centre stage across every function. Bringing this vision to life, Ishaara Events along with Aurora Experiences crafted each space with a strong emphasis on atmosphere, layering textures, lighting and blooms to create experiences that felt intimate and elevated in equal measure.
Bride Zara shares, “We just wanted great food, vibe, music and lots of flowers. And it was definitely matched. I really wanted an English garden entrance with a ‘flowers-in-a-basket’ look, which was beautifully created with cosy pastel tones.” Nehel Sagar from Ishaara Events adds, “The couple wanted every function to feel warm, stylish and immersive without losing the intimacy of a close-knit celebration. We focused heavily on floral storytelling, allowing every event to have its own distinct personality while still feeling cohesive.”
The bride adds, “We loved every function. It was so beautifully and thoughtfully done and we had the time of our lives!”
Wedding Functions
Sangeet and Engagement
Drenched in a sophisticated palette of blush pink, gold and ivory, the Sangeet and Engagement celebration carried an ethereal garden-party aesthetic. Cascading florals, candlelit accents and delicate metallic detailing transformed the venue into a dreamy soirée space. Soft pastel blooms framed the entrances while shimmering lights and elegant seating arrangements added warmth and romance to the evening.
Wedding
The wedding ceremony embraced understated elegance with an all-white floral palette that beautifully complemented the sanctity of the traditional rituals. White blooms suspended overhead, delicate floral garlands and serene décor elements created an atmosphere that felt intimate, timeless and deeply emotional. Set against the rich heritage aesthetic of the venue, the ceremony carried a quiet sophistication, allowing the rituals and family moments to remain at the forefront.
Nehel Sagar shares, “For the wedding ceremony, we intentionally kept the décor soft and restrained. The idea was to let the traditions, emotions and family connections become the focal point while the florals enhanced the serenity of the setting.”
Reception
For the reception, the aesthetic transformed dramatically into a richer and moodier setting with deep red blooms intertwined with lush green foliage. Towering floral arches, statement entrances and glowing lights created a striking visual contrast that felt luxurious yet inviting. The bold floral installations paired with warm ambient lighting gave the evening a glamorous, celebratory energy while still retaining the couple’s love for natural, garden-inspired styling.
