My Best Friend Tanya’s Wedding
Tanya and her bridesmaids got ready to welcome her D-day via a Punjabi wedding themed experience with WeddingSutra Favorites.
Even as big, bright and beautiful as Indian weddings are – there’re nothing quite as lively as a Punjabi wedding. The colorful community is known for its larger than life attitude to everything – hospitality and warmth, décor and dancing, food and drink. Nothing quite beats a Punjabi party and awestruck by the vibrancy these celebrations in the northern region pack, Tanya and her best friends decided to glam up and create looks fit for a Punjabi bridal party!
L’Oréal Paris with its unparalleled commitment to technology, research, and innovation, won over Tanya and her friends’ hearts. The brand’s global approach made it the girls’ first choice to create the looks for the day. The wide range of products allowed them to imagine diverse looks with ease.
With their expertise, NEU Blush created looks that not only showcased their deep understanding of various techniques but were also intuitive about their personalities and distinct from the other. They also styled their tresses wonderfully to match their makeup and outfits. The finest from Varun Bahl’s extensive collection of wedding wear was extended to the bride-to-be and her friends and they fell in love with his beautiful designs the minute they laid their eyes on them. They paired each outfit with baubles from Aetee Designs. The fine craftsmanship of the ornaments went perfectly with the detailed designs of their ensembles.
A sprawling property located in the heart of Millennium City – MG Road, Gurgaon, The Westin Gurgaon added to the sophisticated nature of the shoot. The manicured lawns of the hotel were decked by Eventfully Yours by Jasneet who created a gorgeous setup that bridesmaid Aditi couldn’t stop admiring, “The backdrop they created was so beautiful. I really liked the colors and the additional elements placed on the sides made everything look so chic!”
The excitement of the day was preserved in stills by Going Bananas Photography and Priyam Malhotra captured it all in motion. The results their efforts produced were stunning and are sure to keep the memories of this day fresh in the bride and her friends’ minds. Bride Tanya said, “If I were to rate my experience of the day I would give WeddingSutra and Going Bananas Photography and Priyam Malhotra a ten on ten. All three teams were in perfect sync and made sure we were comfortable throughout. Going Bananas Photography, especially, ensured that no one was uncomfortable in front of the camera. They even gave us inputs on what we could do and the poses that would look nice in pictures.”
Bride-To-Be Tanya
A Soft feminine appeal was what NEU Blush had in mind for the bride and the L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick in Divine Mocha was the lip color that inspired their creativity. The rich color and intense hydration the product imparted was key in pulling the look together. Her lashes were coated with L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara that volumized and lengthened them giving her a dense fringe. The L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Powder Glow Neutral Illuminator was used to highlight her cheekbones.
Once the makeup was complete, Tanya couldn’t stop gushing about the results. She said, “The NEU Blush team was so professional and they made sure that I was comfortable while they applied the makeup. Even the lipstick they used on me was amazing. Not only did the shade go perfectly with my look, but the product did not crack or wear off through the day. I absolutely loved this one.” Tanya wore a red lehenga by Varun Bahl and said, “Everything about it was fabulous. The detailed work, color combination, fitting, all of it made up my dream outfit!”
Bridesmaid Tanya
For Tanya, NEU Blush spun out a subdued glam look. The L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick in Pure Garnet is infused with ultra-moisturizing jojoba oil and the lipstick rendered a velvet finish while the advanced formula ensured that there was no need for touch-ups through the day. The L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara brought drama to her lashes. The 200+ soft wavy bristle brush held the maximum amount of formula and caught every lash for a striking volumizing effect.
Tanya chose a beige saree featuring tiny motifs across the length of the fabric. The drape was edged with a pearl and frill border and paired with a red blouse complete with complex embroidery. The contrast in the work and colors of these two pieces not only brought a balance to the outfit but also a refreshing palette.
Bridesmaid Aditi
Aditi’s makeup was all about embracing the bold side of beauty. Needless to say, a deep lipstick was essential to her look. L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Mauve Petal was NEU Blush’s product of choice. Its nourishing ingredients kept her lips soft, smooth, and ultra-hydrated through the day. The L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara’s silky smooth formula glided evenly and easily onto her lashes giving them definition. To finish, the high lights of her face glowed with the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Powder Glow Neutral Illuminator.
The lipstick was what Aditi fell in love with. She says, “I lean towards darker shades anyway and this one in wine thrilled me. But what sealed the deal was the longevity – there was no need for reapplication despite the fact that we were shooting outdoors. To me, that was brilliant.” As for the rest of her look, she says, “The gown by Varun Bahl was divine. It matched my sense of style completely. The work on it was breathtaking and the colors were creatively used!”
Bridesmaid Priya
NEU Blush decided that Priya would look wonderful with an elegant, sophisticated visage. L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick in Beige Couture was the hero of this look. The highly pigmented nude is created using matte gel technology and it delivered a rich matte effect while maintaining ultimate moisture and comfort. The L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara with it’s unique formula gave her lashes a feathery soft glamor and the product lasted all day without flaking, smudging or clumping.
Keeping in line with the gracefulness of the looks, she selected a muted green gown by Varun Bahl. The work on the ensemble mimicked the effect of a shower of flowers. The floral motifs, all created using red and peach brought an eye-catching contrast to her ensemble.
