Discover her transformation with WeddingSutra on Location at Manish Malhotra’s couture store
As part of our initiative ‘WeddingSutra on Location’, we invited three brides-to-be for a unique experience at Manish Malhotra’s couture store in Khar (West), Mumbai. Starting with a Style Consultation, a Makeover and a Photo shoot, each of the participants got to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.
Here in the second of the three-part series, bride-to-be Akrati Massand tells us about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location.
“I am based in the US, and I have been following WeddingSutra for a few months. It has been an incredibly useful tool for wedding planning, and I have got so many ideas and so much inspiration from WeddingSutra! One day I was reading about WeddingSutra on Location and the whole initiative sounded very interesting; two weeks later I was in India for my wedding shopping, and I wrote to them indicating my interest in WeddingSutra on Location; a week later, they contacted me, their next On Location was at Manish Malhotra who happens to be my favorite designer. Needless to say I was thrilled!
On the day of the shoot, I was beyond excited! Upon entering the studio, I was greeted by the WeddingSutra team who introduced me to Neha Shroff of Momente Wedding Planners. She asked me more about my wedding and with her help I chose a baby pink lehenga, which reminded me of a very modern Bollywood look, and we paired it with a gorgeous polki diamond choker set by Amrapali. With the modern lehenga and traditional jewellery, the look had changed completely. I instantly fell in love with the combination and got a clear picture of how I wanted to look on my big day!
Next, I was introduced to makeup artist, Ojas Rajani. Getting glammed up by her was so much fun, she made me feel so relaxed! She gave me a very soft look, which made me feel so beautiful and confident and I couldn’t wait for the photo session to start!
I then met Candid Photographer Dev Purbiya who was incredibly pleasant to work with. His talent and love for his work was very obvious, he was amazing at what he did! He guided me on how to pose which was a big help since I have never had the opportunity to get photographed by a professional photographer.
Overall, my experience with WeddingSutra on Location was phenomenal! I had a great time and was able to get a clear vision of how I would like to look on my wedding day. Thank you WeddingSutra for this unforgettable experience!”
