Discover her transformation with WeddingSutra on Location at Manish Malhotra’s couture store
As part of our initiative ‘WeddingSutra on Location’, we invited three brides-to-be for a unique experience at Manish Malhotra’s couture store in Khar (West), Mumbai. Starting with a Style Consultation, a Makeover and a Photo shoot, each of the participants got to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.
Here in the first of the three-part series, bride-to-be Rakhee Jain, blogs about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location.
“I’ve always loved playing dress up, so when I was invited for WeddingSutra on Location at Manish Malhotra’s store, I was super excited. His is one of the first names that come to your mind when you think Bridal Couture, so this was something I was really looking forward to!
When I reached the store on the day of the shoot, I first met Wedding Planner Neha Shroff who took me around to help me make my selection. There were so many stunning options to choose from, but when I saw this beautiful Royal Blue Lehenga, I knew I had to look no further, it was just the perfect ensemble for a Sangeet or Reception. My selection was made and I was ready for makeup and hair.
Make-up artist Ojas Rajani is an angel with a brush as her magic wand, and I’m a huge fan of her work. All I did was ask her to give me a glamorous look to go well with my outfit, and she completely outshone my request. She gave me smokey eyes, subtle lips and a half up do with soft curls on the loose ends.
Finally it was time for the photo shoot. Candid Photographer Dev Purbiya made it very easy for me to pose and he even shared a few tips on how to look more comfortable in front of it. As I got the gist, it turned out to be more fun getting individual as well as composite shots with the other brides.
The whole experience was extremely special and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt really happy with the way I looked and came back even more confident about myself, and with a clearer insight on my look for the big day. Thank you WeddingSutra Team for this wonderful experience.”
