Yuvika and Prince, Mumbai
Yuvika Chaudhary and Prince Narula's wedding celebrations in Mumbai were a heady mix of fun festivities and fashionable looks.
TV actors Yuvika Chaudhary and Prince Narula, who met on the ‘Bigg Boss 9’ reality show, tied the knot recently in Mumbai. Prince shot to fame as the winner of multiple reality shows such as ‘MTV Roadies,’ ‘X2,’ ‘Splitsvilla 8’ and finally ‘Bigg Boss 9’ where he fell in love with Yuvika.
From ‘just friends’ to soulmates, the young couple have come a long way. Among the more romantic gestures that came under the media spotlight was Prince getting Yuvika’s name tattooed on his back and adding her name to his. The groom is now called ‘Prince Yuvika Narula.’ Their fairytale nuptials were fitting for a couple who fell in love on a reality show that is typically marked by fights and arguments.
The celebrations started with the mehndi for which Yuvika wore a knee-length mint green lehenga with gold thread embroidery. She paired it with floral jewellery that included a magnificently long necklace, tiara and arm bands crafted with white blooms and buds. Her long, loose curls curls added a lovely, carefree vibe to her mehndi look. Prince wore a white kurta pajama ensemble and shook a leg with his pretty bride-to-be and even sat alongside her at the event.
The engagement function followed the mehndi, and the couple exchanged rings in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and close friends. Yuvika changed into a regal red anarkali-gown which she paired with gold jewellery.
For the sangeet, Yuvika wore a white, heavily embellished lehenga. She kept her jewellery minimal for this event and just wore a statement ‘maang tikka’ (forehead ornament) that incorporated a polki design and pearls. Her makeup and hairdo complemented her dazzling lehenga perfectly. Prince looked debonair in an Indo-Western asymmetrical peach kurta pajama with a matching jacket.
On their wedding day, Yuvika and Prince dazzled in their glittering wedding ensembles. The bride wore a gorgeous red lehenga with short sleeves for the ‘varmala’ (garlanding) ceremony and switched to another lehenga in a deeper tone and with long sleeves for the pheras. Prince wore a blush-colored sherwani and did a special performance for Yuvika at the function. His close friends and a beaming Yuvika also joined him on the dance floor.
The wedding was attended by Bollywood actors such as Tabu, Neha Dhupia and Sunil Shetty, ‘Bigg Boss’ contestants like Priyank Sharma and Benafsha Soonawala alongside reality TV host Rannvijay, cricketer Irfan Pathan with his family, and TV actors Gurmeet Choudhary, Debina Bonnerjee, Surbhi Jyoti and Pearl V Puri.
After the extravagant celebrations in Mumbai, the couple hosted their reception in Chandigarh for their family and close friends. While Prince opted for a traditional blue outfit, Yuvika looked no less than a princess in a silver glittering off-shoulder gown paired with diamond jewellery. The highlight of this evening was the couple’s royal entry as Prince and Yuvika entered the venue in a carriage. Friends and family cheered for the newlyweds as they entered in a carriage covered with beautiful floral arrangements.
