Nehmat and Sidhant, Firozpur
An intimate home-based wedding where vivid traditions met soft glam in a series of heartfelt celebrations.
Every wedding tells a unique story, and Nehmat and Sidhant’s celebration was one rooted in warmth, intimacy, and heartfelt traditions. Captured through the evocative lens of WeddingSutra Favorite – Beginnings For You, the wedding was photographed with an artistry that brought every emotion and detail to life, turning moments into timeless memories.

How They Met
“Five years back, Sidhant and I met during a counselling session for residency, and if I am being honest, he had me at ‘hello’,” shares the bride. From the very first conversation, the two couldn’t stop talking, and fate ensured they ended up at the same college in Amritsar. Their years of residency were demanding, with date nights often reduced to 2 a.m. pizza deliveries during duty shifts. “For three whole years of residency, we had all our meals together, even if it meant lunch at 5 pm or dinner at 2 am. Amritsar gave us endless stories and the most cherished memories,” recalls Nehmat. “Once in a lifetime, you meet someone that makes everything else immaterial, and when you do find that person, you hold on to them forever.”

Wedding Planning
“I always wanted to get married at home and have intimate functions—and that’s what we did,” says Nehmat. Alongside her brother, she spent countless hours planning every detail with care and creativity. The various lawns of the residence were transformed into vibrant venues for each ceremony, lending every moment a distinctive charm and ensuring the atmosphere remained deeply personal and intimate.
The journey was seamlessly preserved by Beginnings For You, who had earlier captured their engagement in 2022. “We knew the wedding would be covered by none other than Beginnings For You. They went the extra mile to give us the most beautiful memories and made the process hassle-free, too. The team was always the first one to arrive and the last one to leave, and every little emotion was beautifully captured. It was sheer joy to work with Beginnings For You!”

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Nehmat shares, “The mehndi unfolded on a crisp winter afternoon under the trees. Low manjis, pops of colour, and quirky décor details set a relaxed and cheerful vibe, making it a vibrant start to the celebrations.”

Haldi
The haldi was a burst of sunshine. Floral-adorned kaleerein were strung across the backdrop, glowing in hues of yellow and gold, creating a joyful setting filled with laughter and blessings. The bride, dressed in a mustard yellow outfit, had a gala time surrounded by her loved ones.

Wedding
The pheras were steeped in vintage elegance. An ivory and dull gold palette, coupled with carefully customised details at every corner, gave the occasion an old-world charm. The most magical moment came as Nehmat walked down the aisle, serenaded by a singer who sang a serene Punjabi song.

Advice For Couples
Reflecting on her journey, the bride shares her words of wisdom:
-“The two most important vendors are the makeup artist and photographer, and they must be booked at least 4-5 months in advance.”
-“Décor will set the whole vibe for the event, so choose well after reviewing the work. The vendors you select must understand your vision, and you must trust them completely.”
-“Choosing complementary colour tones for close family and the groom elevates the overall aesthetic and makes for beautiful pictures.”
-“Give every event a distinct vibe, through timing, concept, and outfits, so nothing feels repetitive.”
-“Most importantly, cherish the planning time. You will miss it more than you know. Don’t try to fit into a box; decorate and celebrate traditions your way!”
