A talented singer, percussionist, and composer, Piyush follows in the footsteps of his father, tabla maestro Shri Jeetu Shankar. The festivities were enhanced by a grand baraat band fleet, vibrant haldi performers, and a star-studded guest list featuring some of India’s most celebrated names in music and cinema, such as Talat Aziz, Shivamani, Mahesh Bhatt, Manhar Udhas, Pearl V Puri, Sameer Sen, Jasvinder Narula, Gajendra Singh, Prem Kishan, and lyricist Kumar, among others.
Wedding Functions
Haldi
With marigold and yellow blooms, the Haldi décor matched the vibe—robust and friendly. Friends showered petals on the couple, who sat in giant brass urlis. The friendly banter of the day and the playing of the dhols ushered in the celebratory mood.
Sangeet
The Sangeet night was a lively celebration where Amit Jadhav (of X Factor fame) performed with the couple, creating magical memories on stage. An impromptu jam session between Shivamani and Piyush, accompanied by the dholis, added an unexpected and electrifying charm to the evening.
