WeddingSutra held its most popular bridal initiative, WeddingSutra on Location, at the unparalleled location in the heart of the vibrant suburb of Andheri, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar last month. Starting with a Style Consultation, followed by a Makeover and a Photo Shoot, each of the participants got the opportunity to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.

Here, in the second of the three-part series, bride-to-be Naoumi Tripaati shares her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar.

“My good friend Shrena experienced the WedddingSutra On Location shoot last year and she told how exciting it was. So I too wrote in to WeddingSutra and when they replied informing me I’d been shortlisted, I was thrilled! My wedding was in two weeks, but I just had to make time for this!

When I entered the bridal suite at JW Marriott Sahar, Team WeddingSutra showed me the options from multi-designer store AZA, but what really caught my attention was a beautiful pink lehenga– on examining it closer I realised its a creation by Sabyasachi and I was delighted! It has always been a dream to wear a Sabyasachi lehenga. It was stunning with sequins and I couldn’t wait to try it on.

I met the other brides we were shooting with and we all got along fabulously. My hair and makeup session began. It was amazing, Amrita and her team did a fabulous job. I’m very eager to pick up what I can about the art of makeup and Amrita talked to me the entire time, giving me tips and techniques. She was really sweet and generous and now I know what sort of look I want on my big day!

When she was done, I looked at myself in the mirror. I had been transformed! In the most wonderful way! Team WeddingSutra then suggested a rose-gold jewellery set by Gehna Jewellers; a delicate necklace with matching earrings that perfectly complemented the summery pink lehenga. The stylists outdid themselves.

When I went down for the poolside photo shoot, Jhalak and Ashwin were really impressed with the styling and makeup. They were super helpful, suggesting poses and made it very easy for me. When they showed me some frames they’d shot, I couldn’t believe how gorgeous the pictures were!

The entire experience made me so excited for my actual wedding day! My favourite part was getting so many amazing ideas and meeting all the incredible people who were a part of this! Thank you WeddingSutra!”

Naoumi’s look
Naoumi is blessed with flawless skin and Makeup artist Amrita Sanghavi decided to highlight her eyes by keeping the rest of the face dewy. Amrita started with applying the feather-light Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mouse in Ivory Fair that evenly blends into the skin set it with the hydrating formula of Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact in Ivory Fair. To highlight the eyes, Amrita used the Lakmé Absolute Color Illusion Pearl Shadow in Peach Pearl all over her eyelid as the base and then blended in the Lakmé Absolute Drama Stylist shadow Crayon in Pink to add some color. She paid special attention to Naoumi’s lashes by applying couple of coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara to add definition. She then brushed on a hint of the Lakmé Absolute Cheek Chromatic Baked Blusher in Day Blushes shade on her cheeks for a fresh sun-kissed look. For the lips, Amrita used the Lakmé Absolute Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick in Crimson Touch. Finally, her hair was styled in simple soft curls.
